My husband and I love trying new restaurants in our area especially those that share another culture's food! 🤗 We ordered take out because it had been a very busy day for us and we wanted to get home quickly.
What we ordered: -Butter chicken with rice -Butter chicken mac and cheese -Breakfast bowl with bacon -Cheeseburger with fries -Masala fries -Spring rolls -Mango lassi -Garlic naan
Unfortunately, they forgot our spring rolls and we didn't find out until we had arrived home. They were closed at that point so we couldn't call to amend the issue.
First thoughts on opening our order was that the portion sizes are quite small for the price. We regularly visit Spice Connexion in Martinsburg so we may be spoiled by their portion sizes.
The masala fries were delicious, but, again, very small portion for the price.
The butter chicken was also very good and had an intriguing flavor profile with herbs and spices that I hadn't experienced before. I was a bit disappointed with the rice because it was not basmati which is typically served at restaurants offering Indian cuisine. The garlic naan was underwhelming. Also, small portion for the price.
The butter chicken with mac and cheese was also very good but much smaller than expected. My husband said he wouldn't order it again since it was more of an appetizer than a meal.
The breakfast bowl was quite disappointing since it was only two eggs with a strip of bacon and what appeared to be a 1/4 of hash browns. For $8.99, we definitely expected something different.
The cheeseburger my son stated was "good" but he was still hungry after he finished. For $16.99, we expected not only a larger burger but more than 10 French fries as a side.
Overall, the food was tasty. I'm basing my review as four stars on flavor alone. However, the wait time was a bit long and one of our items was forgotten despite the restaurant being empty of customers. If there is a change either to the portions or the prices, we may revisit and try other dishes.
Based on our first time experience though, we would just stick with giving our business to Spice Connexion who are reliable and commendable in price and flavor...

Okay, so imagine if butter chicken and a cheeseburger had a baby — and then that baby opened a restaurant. That’s basically what’s going on at AJ's Diner and Bar, an Indian-American fusion spot that’s serving up serious flavor bombs and good vibes. The place looks great — kind of like Bollywood met a modern bar and said, “Let’s throw a wedding.” And guess what? They actually can — there's a whole reception hall in the back that’s perfect for parties, weddings, or anything that needs music, food, and a little sparkle. Now the food: It’s wild (in a good way). Think butter chicken mac & cheese, samosa sliders, and chicken wings that low-key taste like your Indian auntie’s secret spice mix. It’s fusion, but not the “what even is this?” kind — it works. The bar is also doing the most. Chai old fashioneds? Mango mojitos? Yes, please. The bartenders know their stuff, and the drinks are as pretty as they are potent. Service is chill but helpful — like your cool cousin who knows all the menu hacks. Bottom line: Come hungry, come thirsty, maybe come dressed up — and definitely come back. Whether you're here for dinner or throwing a full-on dance party in the reception hall, this...
Read moreTried AJ'S Diner and Bar today in Spring Mills, and it’s definitely a spot worth visiting! This new Indian-American fusion restaurant really impressed me.
We started with the Shark Bite cocktail, which came topped with a shark gummy and a syringe of grenadine for a fun, interactive twist. Drinks were great, but the food was even better.
They kicked things off with complimentary Papad Chips and mint chutney—a tasty and light starter. We also ordered the Kachumber Salad, which was super fresh and refreshing.
For my main dish, I went with the Chicken Tikka Masala. They happily turned up the spice level on request, and it was rich, flavorful, and delicious. Instead of rice, I paired it with Garlic Naan, which was perfect for soaking up all that saucy goodness.
Overall, the experience was excellent—great drinks, delicious food, and a creative fusion vibe. I highly recommend checking this place out, and I’ll definitely...
