Fridays Garden Deli — Restaurant in Martinsville

Any time we get to stop in for a club sub, it's a treat! The bread is delicious, and the dressing is perfectly balanced! The ONLY thing missing was that they no longer serve pickle spears with the sandwiches. I used to get an extra pickle spear because it made for the perfect bite every time... If I'd had a pickle spear, it would've been perfect... but, I NEVER eat a sub without pickles, so the fact that I still love it without a pickle spear really says a lot from me! I'll keep coming back every chance I get. I don't know what it is about that bread and the dressing, but WOW! PLEASE don't EVER...

Came by on a Sunday afternoon with about 20 other people, and it was very quiet (one or two other people in the whole restaurant). I saw the reviews and was excited to try, but my expectations weren't that high.

I ordered the grilled chicken sub, which came out pretty quick. This restaurant doesn't have servers, so you just order at the counter and pick it up there too. My food was good, although it didn't look the most appetizing (picture below).

Overall, I'm pretty impressed and wouldn't be opposed to coming back if I'm ever in...

Has always been my favorite spot to get a hot club sub. I get it exactly the way they serve it & it is packed with flavor. Love the fact you can also get a bowl of homemade soup with a small sub or get a foot long & homemade chips. Wraps are great here as well. If you are bored with Subway and always seem to leave disappointed then come by Friday's. I went here a lot in the 90s before relocating nice to see the same people running now that I am back.
