TLDR: Great slice shop! Come for the dozen+ varieties of pizza.
Vibe: 4/5. Situated on the outskirts of Parkville, Angelino's is a small dine-in and takeout Italian restaurant. The restaurant is situated on a main road, with a small head in parking lot directly in front of the restaurant. This can be a little problematic when leaving, as you will have to back out directly into oncoming traffic. Inside, the restaurant has a half dozen booths in the dining room, with the main counter in the back of the restaurant. The counter typically has around a dozen pizzas on display available for by the slice purchases, a major plus! Overall, a simple, no frills but clean and convenient restaurant.
Service: 5/5. The staff at Angelino's was great during our lunch visit. We ordered several slices for dine in and the staff was quick to take our order and brought them out to our table when ready. This is a counter fast casual style restaurant , so your interactions with the staff are limited. However, the gentleman who was manning the counter during our visit made sure to stop by our table to see how we were enjoying the pizza. This was not necessary, but a very nice touch we appreciated!
Food: 5/5. Love me a slice shop! On our visit, we ordered 1 slice of buffalo, Sicilian bruschetta, Sicilian meat lovers and the spaghetti pie. All sliced were thrown back into the oven prior to serving, so they came out hot and crisp. Each slice had good sauce to cheese balance and generous in topping portion with a nice crispy crust. Best in show had to go to the bruschetta and the spaghetti pie. Both had unique flavor and really captured the flavor of each dish. With slice prices ranging from $2-5 depending on the pie, Angelino's is a great budget friendly choice for the...
Read moreWe came from Harrisburg to go to the Ikea and decided to stop here for an early dinner before heading back. Angelino's left me thoroughly impressed and wishing that this was closer to home for us!
To start with, I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, one of my all-time favorite dishes. Angelino's absolutely nailed it! The chicken was thin, and cooked to perfectly, while the coating was crisp and flavorful.
The standout of the evening was undoubtedly the Garlic Knots. I can confidently say that they were the best I have ever had.
For dessert, I indulged in the Tiramisu Cake, it phenomenal! It isn't a standard Tiramisu dessert, it was a cake inspired Tiramisu that was an absolute showstopper.
My friend opted for the Pineapple Ham and Cheese Calzone, and it turned out to be the star of our main courses. I didn't expect to like the combination of pineapple, ham, and cheese so be sweet and savory, and I want to get that next time we come.
My husband's got the Thin Angel Hair with Broccoli and Artichokes, surprisingly the broccoli was the best part of the dish.
The sauce at Angelino's deserves its own recognition. It was simply fantastic! A well-balanced medley of herbs and flavors, it enhanced every dish without overpowering them. I usually hesitate to dip my bread due to my GERD, but Angelino's sauce was so wonderfully balanced that it didn't cause any discomfort.
When we went up to order they were extremely friendly which definitely elevated the overall experience.
I can't speak highly enough of Angelino's. We will be coming here every time we go to IKEA, it's well...
Read moreThe garlic chicken pizza with mushrooms. Onions, and a white cheesy sauce was a fantastic blend of flavors melting into my mouth! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. The garlic knots looked so delicious in the case, I had to have one for each family member. They didn't disappoint! They exceeded my expectations: the crust was slightly firm, the garlic butter bushed over it with cheese and herbs sprinkled over it was a delightful flavor explosion, and the inside was light and fluffy and Oh, So, Delicious!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Next up is the Chicken Alfredo. What can I say? It was creamy, perfectly seasoned, blended with cheeses, topped with grilled chicken and more sauce. FABULOSO! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. And, the Spaghetti Pizza! I was looking at all the delicious pizza varieties in the display case. And drooling over them all! But, an interesting sight caught my eye - the Spaghetti Pizza Pie. So, we took a slice home. I cut the huge 6 inch wide slice into 5 smaller slices so the family could all taste it. It was good! I thought it could use more sauce and cheese, so this on I'll give ⭐⭐⭐⭐. I would definitely encourage you to come over and try their food! My whole family loves...
