Ok, so this morning while waiting for my car to be serviced at a nearby dealership, I decided to visit the Blue Rooster Cafe. When I walked in I was pleasantly greeted. My order was immediately taken. The staff and the the establishment seemed to be on point. My anticipation of how my experience was going to be went well so far. The pictures of their food online looked great. I tend to look at reviews and then sometimes I don't. I wanted to try out the Blue Rooster and present my own review. After placing my order, I took a seat. I had a cup of coffee that was pretty good. I ordered the Good Ol Benny which consisted of poached eggs with hollandaise sauce and ham on an English muffin with a side of home fries. I asked for Turkey instead of ham and asked for my eggs to be less runny. While waiting there were other patrons that entered and ordered beverages and food. I choose to sit at a table close to the wall. There were tables in front of me and in back of me. The tables began to fill up as I waited. Here's where the problem came..... The patrons in who sat at the tables in front of me and in back of me placed their orders after me AND received their food before me. After they received their food, I asked the waitress how much longer for my food to come out. She says about five more minutes. She goes to the kitchen and immediately brings my food out. So of course I am indignant of the now service I have received. Idk if this was on purpose. Idk if it was a racial snub. Idk if it was incompetence or just flat out poor customer service. I ate my food and it was good but my experience was overshadowed by their offensive service.Whatever it was I want this establishment to be mindful of their behavior and...
Read moreI generally love this place. The hangover benny is one of my go-to orders. However, I was pretty upset with my service today. My husband called and ordered two hangover bennies for my mother and I, but when he got home it was regular eggs benedict. I called to let them know, and the girl who answered was very flippant, that he definitely said eggs benedict, not hangover benny. I have been there with my husband numerous times, and always order the hangover benny, not regular eggs benedict - he knows my order. He does speak with an accent, so there may have just been a misunderstanding, but there was no apology from the girl who answered, just an attitude. She said she could order it again, but that it would be another 40 minutes and another $29. I said okay, and when I got there, the order was never placed and the food wasn't ready. I spoke to the manager, who apologized, but without any sincerity, and gave the excuse that it was mother's day. Then she told me that she could place the order again but that it would be another 40 minutes. She again said they were slammed, which is understandable, but doesn't account for the lack of sincerity or lack of desire to do anything to fix it. I am unsure why a messed up order (forget the confusion on the first order, the fact that the second order was never placed) can't be rushed. She did refund the money for the first order, but I went home quite disappointed not only in not getting the meal I ordered, but with the extremely poor customer service and the fact that no one seemed to truly care. I have always had great service here in the past, and have enjoyed the food, which is why I still gave 3 stars. This particular experience was...
Read moreI went on Sunday at 10 AM, and I understand it’s a busy time. I ordered two sandwiches to eat in, but I had to wait 30 minutes for them. Every table seemed to be waiting a long time for their food, and the staff didn’t really check on anyone. Most of them looked like teenagers who were just taking orders and serving food, without paying much attention to customer service.
I noticed many customers glancing toward the kitchen, wondering when their food would come out. I think the restaurant should focus more on customer service – for example, checking which tables are still waiting and at least letting customers know their food is being prepared, so we feel assured it hasn’t been forgotten.
That said, I really like the atmosphere. It’s a small, cozy place, and I enjoy supporting local businesses. The prices are on the higher side, but I understand that everything is more expensive these days. I’ll definitely...
