Broadneck Grill & Cantina — Restaurant in Maryland

What happened to breakfast? We used to come for breakfast a few years ago and it was good. Went last weekend and it was not. The much smaller menu than before is fine - still had plenty of options. But the eggs tasted disgusting - maybe powdered? None of us ate them. One of us ordered Eggs Benedict and instead of hollandaise got queso on top. (I think the waiter put in the wrong thing, but at that point we had pointed out so many mistakes to him, we just dropped it) Some of our meals were missing main items like the eggs or meat. It was 10am on a Sunday, about 4 or 5 tables so not very crowded, but it definitely felt like no one had shown up to work yet. We got seated, waited about 15-20 min and no one came over so had to go get our own menus, etc… (not sure why we were even seated without menus?) Not great service or food. When you come to clear the table and no one has really eaten much, and they don’t want to go containers, it should maybe be a red flag. I’ll go back, but not for breakfast. I love Broadneck Grill for happy hour and dinner. That’s the reason for 4 stars. Wrote this review so hopefully they fix whatever is going on...

I really wanted to like this place. I didn't try the fish tacos that I was told were good. My margarita was fine and the taquito app. Was fine but that's where the fun stopped. My enchiladas were bordering on burnt and had very little flavor beyond the burnt taste even the rice on the same plate was bordering on cold while the beans tasted scorched like the enchiladas. The crowning issue though was what came with the app. 6 taquito that were quite tasty but they came with less tomato and sour cream combined than they did guacamole. When we asked for more sour cream we were surprised to find we were charged an extra dollar when we were given less than a spoonful to start. Worthy of note was when we asked about chips and salsa? This is the only restaurant serving Mexican food in the vicinity of Annapolis I've ever seen charge for chips and salsa? Quite honestly Tequila Sunrise on West st. in Annapolis serves much better food at less cost. There are of course others that do too but having eaten at Tequila Sunrise recently this restaurant in Cape st. Claire was really...

We hadnt eaten here for over a year. In the past the food had always been amazing. My husband got taco salad that used to be served in big yummy taco shell bowl. Now its mostly lettuce with tortilla chips.

I got fajitas that i used to love there but this time they were completely devoid of flavor. Nothing. Not even salt and pepper and def not the fajita flavoring that makes the dish so good. I got the steak and shrimp. Hardly had any of either. Just a few overcooked small shrimp and a few small pieces of tough beef. Even the beans and rice were flavorless. I expect more for $23...

The chicken tortilla soup, however, was delicious.

We used to eat here over ten yrs ago and they used to accompsny all meals with a full size pumpkin muffin that was DELICIOUS! now only salads come with a muffin which is no longer full size, its now a mini muffin. You can get the large ones by paying for them at the register. Not nice to do that to customers...

Its the little niceties that make a big difference. But sone restuarants prefer to try and make more...
