California Grill & Pizza Nottingham — Restaurant in Maryland

As much as I hate to give bad reviews, I must. I have had food here multiple times and I’ve always thought the food tasted average. This evening, I decided to try a Stromboli and I was very disappointed that I wasted gas and almost $15 on what was not fully cooked. Upon arrival, the staff was standing around eating as I waited for my food. As I walked out, I was wondering why the box didn’t feel hot like fresh food was inside. To my surprise, the Stromboli was warm around the outside, very cold and uncooked in the center. It was not good at all. Full of sauce and not much meat as I picked through it. I called and the friendly lady said she doesn’t know why it wasn’t hot but did offer an apology. No further explanation. Needless to say, as hungry as I was, it spoiled my appetite. I can’t...

I would come here all the time they knew my name but now it’s new people or new management and they are just rude. I called and he was rushing me didn’t even answer my question. Couldn’t give me the correct price changed it 3xs… Then when I came to pick up my food they didn’t even greet me. So after I told him my name he just told me put my card in. I WAS PAYING CASH! Then he asked to keep my change. And the he wanted to charge me for a garlic sauce when I purchased a pizza. Customer service has went down terribly!! Then to top it off food not even as good as it used to be. Used to be best in area. Not happy with the service or food quality. I took the advice of a previous reviewer who advised to order the Italian cold cut sub as a "cold" sub because apparently it is heated and/or toasted otherwise. I don't know about that. But I do know that the Italian cold cut sub was mediocre. Not bad. But not particularly good, either. Nice soft roll, if not overly impressive. Lots of mayo -- lots. The meat was ok, I guess. No oil & vinegar or Italian seasoning or anything else that made it outstanding. If it didn't say "Italian cold cut sub" on the menu, I would think it was just some lunch meat on a roll coated in mayo. The carrot cake that I ordered was good and fresh. Usually I give a sub shop a second chance. But in this case, I just don't see any...
