I rarely ever come across a place where I do not like. I like trying new things and new places, so I wanted to get food delivered. I gave this place two chances, TWO. And both times were screwed up.
First time, the man that was on the phone was completely and utterly rude. I'm sorry, but that's not how you talk to the customer. Regardless of how busy you may be. I've been to places that have been super busy and still greeted me in a friendly manner.
I ordered a cheesesteak wrap with raw onions and lettuce. I specifically asked for NO tomatoes on my wrap. I told them I was allergic and if they'd so kindly just use it for another sandwich for someone else. Nope. Not only did my cheesesteak wrap come with tomatoes but it didn't come with lettuce, it had ketchup, mustard, and friend onions. So, I couldn't eat it.
To make matters worse, my husband wanted wings and when it got to the house? The sauce was EVERYWHERE. All over the bag, inside and out.......the wings were dry as a bone! Not a lick of sauce.
At that point I was furious. I didn't even call them back I was so livid. I just said we're not eating their anymore.
Second time, I decided that we were sick of our usual dominos and pizza hut. Why not give Carini's another chance. Maybe it was a bad day for them. I order a salad and again the man on the phone was completely rude and saying that I had said it wrong. He even took the liberty in pronouncing it slowly and rudely and told me to say it.....um, hello? Forget that. I just said whatever and said it.
My husband ordered wings again and asked for the sauce to be on the side since being on the wings wasn't going to cut it. When we got our food, the same thing happened. But this time they didn't even shut it properly so the sauce was once again all over the place. My salad had what looked like spit all over the lettuce. So I just vowed that I'd never order from this place every again.
I hope all of you have better luck with them. Because I seriously...
Read moreNo. No. No.
I gave them THREE honest tries, and all three were a fail.
ATTEMPT#1: First, I ordered the wings. They were rubbery like they had been reheated. Awful, but I was still convinced everyone can have a bad night. It was delivery, so I figured maybe it sat in the car too long. Whatever.
ATTEMPT #2: Next, I ordered a salad. Terrible. WAY too salty. Yuck. At this point, I wrote them off as an option.
ATTEMPT #3: Driving by this place one night I saw the sign on the building. "PIZZA". I said to myself "self, maybe pizza is their specialty. after all, they put it on the side of the building. " I decided to give them one more try. I went in and ordered a large sausage, onion and green pepper. I am a MEAT lover, so I need the sausage. It's really the only thing I wanted but added onion and pepper for flavor.
My pizza came out. I looked at it. NO SAUSAGE. This thing looks like a vegetarian's dream. He asks me "Is there something wrong?" I say "I ordered sausage." He replies "It's under the cheese". I shrugged, disappointed, knowing there was no sausage under the cheese but too polite to call him on it by digging through the pizza.
Once home, my suspicions were confirmed. The pizza was soggy in the middle so much so that I couldn't hold a slice up to eat it. and of course. ...NO SAUSAGE.
I learned my lesson the hard way, people. So you...
Read moreNew homeowners on the Shore and heard about how great Carini's pizza was. Went there Friday night at 7:38, when inside asked for a menu, was told they had none, but was offered a menu that the staff kept by the phone. I placed my order for 2 subs, fried mushrooms and garlic knots and was told it would be 15-20 minutes, no problem. I went back to the car and waited. Went inside at 7:03, watched several people come in and out placing and picking up their orders (some placed after me).
After waiting an addition 17 minutes, for a total of 42 minutes, I asked how much longer it will be. If it is going to be longer then what I was originally told, that's no problem, just met me know considering I was inside waiting. They lady behind the counter tried to give me someone else's order. I told her that wasn't mine and began to recite my order back to her. They gentlemen making the pizza over heard me and then grabs 2 bags from on top the oven and says 'The order has been up here. Now mind you, I have been standing right in front of the refrigerator for 17 minutes waiting and they couldn't give me my order before they put it on the top of the oven?? The subs were good, but the bread was very soggy, fried mushrooms were excellent, but the garlic knots were hard as bricks. Not a very good first impression for sure. Hopefully the next time...
