China Wok — Restaurant in Maryland

05/07/2024 - First off why would they serve/sell this to people, check photo of my order of crab sticks 😩

What happened to this establishment?? It used to be one of my fav cheap Chinese spots but I haven’t been here in a few years and the decline is surreal. I didn’t have exaggerated expectations because cheap chinese food is what it is, but I didn’t expect for them to literally just throw trash in a bag and sell it to me. Every time I tried to pick up a crab stick it fell apart into crumbles, I tried tasting a tiny bit of the inside imitation crab meat and even that was horrible, it tasted like a piece of flavorless mush, I was so disappointed.

I paid for extra shrimp in my shrimp fried rice, they obliged but the shrimp & rice was NOT good, whatever happened to the bright yellow fried rice they used to serve with the fresh tiny green onions?? The chicken wings were just okay but when you combine it with the entire experience, they weren’t worth it.

I ordered their homemade sweet tea and that was the ONLY thing that tasted halfway decent.

Money down the drain, the food went in the trash. After ordering and standing there looking around I noticed, even the food pics, that used to be bright, colorful & vibrant had lost all color, did not aid in you wanting to try anything on it..,I guess I should have come to the reviews first, eating out is too expensive nowadays so choose wisely and skip this place, I won’t be making the same...

Poorly run.

Ordered delivery. In short....Took an hour and the delivery person ended up giving it to another person and allowed them to sign for me and tip. I watched them do it too. They then drove right off. Called the driver and all that they said was "Oh my god!...." and hung up. Called them again and got confusion but then talked to by 3 different people on the same line. Eventually I was told to bring the food back and they'll refund me. I wasn't given it in the first place and told them that or it was thrown away for all i know. They said find it and then started yelling with multiple people on the line. I told them the concern that someone else signed for my card and they had no issue with that and didn't seem to understand or care. Called again and talked to the owner and got more of the same. Later though I was told "Don't worry" and what sounded like they would void the order before they immediately hung up. They then attempted to call from 3 other numbers while i was trying to call my banking and credit.

**After many calls and telling them the charge would be disputed, they did refund later. They never did admit their error or even attempt to act responsible though. A lot of yelling and passing off to...

I love this restaurant for Chinese takeout and I order from here at least once a week (sometimes more!) Everything I have tried here is wonderful, there’s nothing I’ve ever gotten that I didn’t like. The Chinese donuts have to be my favorite though. They taste just like donuts my grandmother used to make for faschnaut day when I was little, seriously delicious and brings back so many memories. My favorite dish so far is the curry chicken (because I love curry!) but I’ve also had General Tsos chicken, sesame chicken, lo mein, hot and sour soup, beef and broccoli, and bourbon chicken and everything has always been so delicious! In the appetizers, crab Rangoon, shrimp toast, beef sticks, dumplings and eggrolls have all been great too! We usually order them all every time we place an order. This is our go to Chinese restaurant! Right now it is only for takeout but that’s OK because the food is absolutely worth it! There are other Chinese take out restaurants closer to me but they do not even compare...
