This bakery was chosen because of it is ability to create an Italian Rum cake...as depicted on their website. We placed the order. Confirmed that we did indeed want the sliced almonds etc. This was to be a special cake for our daughter’s sweet 16 to be shared with her Italian relatives who traveled into town to celebrate.

However, the cake we received was an unremarkable birthday cake. (Look at the pic on my yelp review) By the time this was realized, the bakery is closed and the celebration party is imminent. We are disappointed and we make do. It is a sweet 16 celebration after all.

We called the bakery the next morning. They actually wanted us to bring in what was left of the cake! They quizzed us about our order and what we requested as if it’s our fault for getting the wrong cake. The cake we wanted is on their website! They wanted to give us another cake but we HAD to get it that afternoon. Seriously. The moment is gone. I can’t recreate the party. It’s come and gone. Family members have left.

BTW, We offered to send them pictures of the cake. We were told that the manager was out and they would be calling us to discuss. We are STILL waiting for that call!

Wondering how the cake tasted? The cake itself was not memorable considering they are supposed to be know for their baked goods. As for the icing, it was grainy and too sweet. The decorating skill leaves much to be desired...

As for their customer service very poor... so poor I’m going to share my review, experience and disappointment...

We order from them for our retail. They are super helpful at reminding you when there are upcoming holidays and promotions you can run and if there is something funky like a day they don't deliver they are good at pro-actively calling you to make sure you are aware.

Always a pleasure to do business with them. I love the rum cake!! If you purchase the strawberry 🍓 cake, make sure you eat it in a timely manner. Our strawberries started to go bad after a couple of days and we kept the cake refrigerated the whole time. Will try it one more time (just eat it asap). Sorry, no photos this...
