As a first time customer today, I called in a "to-go" order today for a breakfast sandwich.
I was really excited and looking forward to finding a new coffee shop to patronize.
I arrived and paid for my sandwich. I stood out of the way, quietly, patiently waiting for my sandwich.
The worker in this picture, completely unprovoked, from across the restaurant, began verbally attacking me for holding a coffee in my hand (from another establishment) which i had been drinking while driving to Doughrun to purchase items from Doughrun. The entire restaurant was stunned at this worker's emotional instability and personal agenda to apparently attack customers at random.
I explained that I was simply picking up a to-go order, not sitting down, and would like to go on my way.
I'm appalled at this individuals rudeness! Never in my life has any restaurant employee anywhere verbally attacked me in this manner.
When I asked to speak with the manager, all the employees said HE was the manager. Unreal.
This individual has 1000% GUARANTEED that this is my family's, friends' and acquaintances first and LAST attempt to patronize Doughrun.
Who knew that in Hereford, you have to be ULTRA aware of what beverage you are holding in your hand as you go about your day... otherwise you are subject to verbal abuse lol!!
Oh, and I found hair in my food.
Business must be going well for the owners if they're willing to lose a lifetime of business from customers over claimed "faux pas" of a customer innocently holding a cup of coffee while buying their products!
If I had been drinking a water while making a purchase from Dough Run, would I have been attacked for the brand of water I chose?
Does McDonald's attack me for the beverage I'm drinking while picking up a "to go" order in the drive through?
SMH
I continue to be stunned by the Owners responses and viewpoints.
Does the owner think I woke up on a Sunday morning with the intent of sabotaging his business by picking up a "to-go" sandwich as a first time customer while unintentionally holding a coffee purchased innocently earlier in the day from elsewhere?
I don't own a dog. But if I did, he thinks I would put dog hair in the sandwich which I purchased, intended to eat, and politely returned, without asking for a refund?
I sincerely wish this Owner the best of luck.
Perhaps next time you see someone holding a coffee other than yours, you simply invite them to try...

For the most part I go in the mornings.Coffee is local fresh and amazing, they have lots of specialty coffees drinks my girlfriend gets those she loves them, Hot tea, so many options and also simply amazing. The gruffins are one of a kind. When I go the gruffins are always so fresh they are hot! Like right out of the oven fresh....that goes for everything else from the bakery. You just have visit the Dough Run yourself, they are all about quality. The Dough Run experience is always so plesent, they are so thankful for there customers, they treat people like family. Here we are during these trying times and Dough Run is still open and working hard to still have take out. I don't write reviews ever so I apologize if this is a odd one Haha. Read moreI emailed Dough Run on Tuesday, asking if I could order a German chocolate cake, for 10-12 people, to pick up Friday. The owner responded very quickly, and confirmed my order (nice to be able to order via email through the link on their website!). We agreed on a pick up time of after 12:00 noon on Friday. I arrived shortly after noon, and the cake was ready. The owner presented the cake for my visual inspection, and it looked amazing! Three chocolate layers with the German chocolate frosting between each layer and nicely coated on the top of the cake, but no frosting down the sides, which I found interesting. I discovered later that the sides did not need to be frosted as the cake was very moist and delicious, and the amount of rich, decadent frosting between the layers/top of the cake was MORE than enough (frosting down the side would likely make the cake too rich and sugary, if that's possible!) and it was enjoyed by EVERYONE! I would HIGHLY recommend ordering your next cake from this lovely, small, family owned and operated...
