Ordered a dozen through the app at 8:40PM. Got there around 8:52PM and rushed to get there because the store closes at 9pm. They saw me trying to get in but they already started cleaning and had the two doors locked/connected so people will not get in. Had to try to open it 3 times for one of the workers to finally come and talk to me THROUGH the door. Told me I could not pick it up because they ran out of donuts. I said ok and wanted to get a refund and they told me they also cannot do that because the manager was not present so I would have to call them tomorrow so I said ok and left. I called them this morning and apparently the person who picked up the phone was working last night and that they did have donuts so would not make sense for them to turn me around last night and that I had to come in with the receipt to ask for a refund.
I was able to get the refund by calling Dunkin's customer service.
I also worked at restaurants and chains in the past so I understand the frustrstion of getting orders near closing time but it is not acceptable to treat people with such disrespect and lies. They ignored me on purpose initially and turned me away THROUGH the door. They did not even try to open the door. I know they saw me parking in their spot and getting out of my car. Would drive extra miles to go to other locations. Extremely rude customer service. Read moreI ordered a caramel Iced coffee with 3 extra shots of caramel topped w/ cookie butter foam and a bacon egg croissant. My order was delicious but the customer service was the worst I’ve experienced since being in Maryland. Before I placed my order, a customer ahead of the customer in front of me, spilled part of his drink on the floor and the employee that was taking the order helped him clean it up which was great but after he finished with that customer, you could see the irritation in his face. I completely sympathized with him until it came time for me to order and he was extremely rude to me. I was trying to get clarity on something that I was ordering & he completely cut me off and as he talked over me he read the different type of coffees (which had nothing to do with what I was trying to ask him) & aggressively asked which one I want. I had to explain to him that I understand that he was frustrated about what happened prior before me but I wasn’t the one who slipped the coffee he had to clean up and didn’t deserve how he was treating me. After, I asked my questioned and I continued with my order that I was completely rushed through.
