Ordered penne al pesto 3 times (carryout). First time it was properly made - pesto and pasta. The next two times, I was given alfredo sauce with what appeared to be dried basil mixed in, and sprinkled on top, and didn't know about it until I got home. The 3rd time, I ordered in the restaurant, and mentioned that pesto doesn't have cream in it, and it is most definitely not alfredo sauce with added basil. I was told that this is their version of penne al pesto. It wasn't the first time I went in. Luckily, I had some homemade pesto at home which I added to the pasta, but it was still so rich because of the alfredo sauce that I didn't like it. Pesto is basil, nuts, cheese, and olive oil. Is it cheaper to do it your way? I looked all over the internet to find a pesto with cream, and there aren't any. Do better, GO Primo NY.
My response to your response: When I saw the dish, I mentioned that this wasn't pesto, but alfredo with pesto. I was told that more pesto could be added, and more was added, but it was still alfredo. I tried to get it made properly, but was rebuffed. I'll give it one more try, and when placing the order, request that ONLY pesto be added,...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Go Primo Pizza, and it was nothing short of exceptional. While they're renowned for their incredible pizzas, I must highlight that their chicken wings and pasta are the best I've ever tasted. The chicken wings were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, seasoned to perfection with just the right amount of spice. The pasta was cooked al dente, smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce that left me craving more.
What truly sets Go Primo Pizza apart is their friendly staff and the cozy ambiance of the restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and attentive service that made me feel right at home. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable, making it the perfect place to unwind with family and friends.
If you're looking for a dining experience that combines delicious food with outstanding service, I highly recommend giving Go Primo Pizza a visit. You won't be...
Read moreMy go-to since we moved into the neighborhood. While it's not exactly close I will drive a good distance to come here as it satiates my craving for pizza like back home.
The place is unassuming and no frills, usually has Italian pop songs on in the background and ran by a dark forty-something authentic paesan (not many of these guys around here) who's friendly just enough. Everything a neighborhood pizza place should be.
The pizza here is extremely light (thin) with just the right amount of mozz and sauce. The crust is the best part; its crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Depending on who made it, it can be just a touch too salty for my liking but even then it's A LOT better here than the other places around here.
Their Monday special for a large pie is unbeatable. I think it was $9 or something.
I just wish they...
