Blowfish Poké Hawaiian Grill — Restaurant in Maryland

Do not waste your time going to this place. I've gone to this location four times to get dinner, and only one time did I actually get any food (the first time). The last three times I've gone the location, it has been closed for no apparent reason! Each of these last three times I've tried to get dinner for my family from here I've left empty handed, only to have to drive to some other location to get food (and if you live in this area, you know how difficult that can be, in terms of healthy options).

The first time I left empty handed was on Sunday 8/29/21 at 7:30pm, when right on the front door (and online) it says the location is supposed to be open until 9:00pm on Sundays. The next time was on Wednesday 9/1/21 at 6:00pm, but on the front door was a note that said "We are closed due to the inclement weather". The rain had passed hours earlier, and every other restaurant and store in the area never closed. The last time was tonight (9/5/21) at 7:20pm, and once again it was closed, but this time there was no note, and the hours on the front door clearly state that the location is supposed to be open until 9:00pm.

If you're not interested in serving patrons, and you know, making money, why did you lease this location to begin with?

I would also like to mention, the one and only time I was actually able to pay for food at this location, the inside was filthy, and it took over 20 minutes for me to get my food because there was no chicken (probably the most popular protein on the menu) and they had to make more in the back.

Needless to say, they're not off to good start at this location.

UPDATE (9/6/21) - I decided to revise my review to two stars from one star, due to the fact that the food is good when...

I don't usually give negative reviews unless they're warranted, and I feel that this is one of those times I need to report my experience. I used one of the major food delivery services to place an order for Blowfish Poke, although for pickup. I arrived at the establishment, but the doors were locked, even though the open light was on. Another customer was also trying to get their pickup order. I tried calling the phone number, but no one answered. I checked my phone and saw my order was cancelled about ten minutes prior. So I was stuck with two hangry kids and no lunch. The worst part was that this is the second time this happened - I had another order here previously and it was cancelled right before the pickup window. This is the reason I have to give this restaurant one star. I really enjoy the location in Clarksville, but there are other poke places now I will try instead given the poor business practices...

I have been so excited to try Blowfishes Hawaiian food! I visit their Clarksville location frequently for the bowls and LOVE THEM! I am a lover of all things Hawaii, the food, culture, people, land, everything! So I was beyond excited to have a restaurant close by to satisfy my Hawaiian cravings! Unfortunately I was disappointed with what I received. I ordered the taste of Hawaii (obviously), they said it would take 15 mins, 30 mins later we finally got it! I wasn’t too upset at the wait, I wanted fresh food and that isn’t fast. But the food wasn’t good. The shrimp were mushy, the pork had no flavor and the loco moco patty was over cooked. The musubi was good but the rice fell apart. It may have just been a bad day for them or the taste of Hawaii box is over priced for what it is. The staff were very nice and felt bad...
