Happy House Pizzeria — Restaurant in Maryland

I ordered food on-line from Happy House Pizzeria on Tuesday, 22 October 2024 (see order and photos below). Shortly after I ordered, the owner of Happy House Pizzeria called and asked if I wanted Jumbo or Buffalo wings. After I confirmed I wanted what I ordered, 10 Jumbo wings, he said he would cook a fresh batch and have them ready in 20 minutes. After returning home with lunch, we noticed that the bag contained only 8 wings in addition to 1 thigh, and 1 drumstick. Further, the bag contained baked beans instead of green beans. When I called the owner to complain, he pushed back stating he ran out of wings and included the more expensive thigh and drumstick. But I said, "that's not the point". In addition, he said he had no green beans and substituted baked beans. I relayed that he had ample opportunity to tell me that he was unable to fulfill the order I paid for; however, he failed to communicate this to his customer. He substituted food I did not ask for or want. He seemed angry that I was not happy with the food. I explained to him that's he's in the customer service business and should honor a customer's choices and not making substitutions without giving the customer advance notice. I told him I was disappointed in the quality of his delivered service. To his credit, he did say that he would have green beans available tomorrow.

Last night me and my boyfriend decided to order from happy house through the slice app. We ordered $45 worth of food from happy house in Deale. We waited 2 and half hours for our food. When we finally got our food it wasn't even edible the mozzarella sticks were frozen, the spaghetti was over cooked mush, my popcorn chicken was a cut up chicken tender that was cold and dry, and our fried pickles was bowl of plain pickles. I called to complain and get it straightened out but the lady told me all she could give is a credit for two things and said if I want a refund call slice, therefore we called slice which then said if we brought back the food we'd get a refund. So we did in fact drive up there to get our money back and when I walked through happy house doors I was greeted with a crazy older lady screaming and cussing at me and getting in my face. I then got angry myself and yelled back she threw trash about and said no refund and that she brings us orders all the time and that we never tip which we in fact never order from them but once in a blue moon. Then proceeded to tell me not to order from them anymore which we weren't EVER planning on it AGAIN!!! The other lady then told me she'd give me a refund and that she needed my card I gave it to her and she then charged me again and said call slice for an actual refund. Also took our food to the back instead of throwing it away. I will NEVER order from them again!!! They literally committed theft and gave me the worst service I've ever had. If I could give zero...

They messed up the order for starters in that my cheese steak wrap was made as a sub. I called and asked for another one to be made while my girlfriend began eating her sub. She didn’t even eat half of it because the lettuce was old, the tomatoes were soggy, and the bread was soggy too. Also slathered in mayo. Hush puppies were ice cold in the middle. I called and asked for a refund instead since the food wasn’t worth eating. The owner who rang me up began yelling and becoming belligerent and eventually hung up on me. He mentioned that he’s not going to refund my money when I already ate the food. I drove back and dropped the food that I didn’t eat on the counter and asked again for a refund. Again, he refused and the woman who was making the food began yelling at me while wiping the sweat off of her head with her bare hands. I left without the refund. The order was 16 bucks. I only went to this place out of convenience anyway. Their pizza is garbage (4.9/10) and the food that isn’t terrible is barely mediocre.
