Jarrettsville Creamery and Deli — Restaurant in Maryland

My first visit so I will be back to try more options and the ice cream. My family and I tried a few items and I will start with the best and work my way down. Cookies are amazing. I don't know if you bake them in house but don't change them they are all great sampled all of them can't go wrong. Unfortunately this was the best thing we had from what we ordered. The chicken chipotle wrap was sad and honestly was not a chipotle wrap. It was just sliced chicken with salsa. Please look into providing an actual chipotle sauce for this cause it could be amazing but it was disappointing. We had the plain Jane grilled cheese. It was was good. Also had the tomatoes and avocado grilled cheese with bacon and it was ok, adding a dash of lemon and salt over the avocado and tomatoes would elevate the flavor. The chilli was ..... I'm still trying to figure out if you put meat in the chilli or if it was left over ground turkey or soy. It was meh. Kind of like canned chilli from the dollar store. I am looking forward to trying the other items on the menu. Ingredients taste fresh and the establishment is great. I love the look and feel of it. I spent $50 dollars on two grilled cheese meals, one chicken wrap,a cup of Mac and cheese "ok", a bowl of chilli, four cookies and two...

The service was terrible! My husband and I went for a sandwich and ice cream. When we walked in, there were a group of employees congregating behind the counter. They turned and looked at us and then turned away. We were never greeted. Instead we were given dirty looks as if we were inconveniencing them by being there. It wasn’t until I went over to the register that anyone spoke to us and when we ordered it was super awkward because the girl was so unfriendly. Then we got ice cream and received the same service. Another employee was helping a customer when I went up to order. When the customer was done, the employee walked away, never saying “I’ll be right with you” or anything. So I stood there waiting. Finally she came back out and took my order. I said please and thank you at least twice with no response of “your welcome” or anything. I’ve never felt so unwelcome in an establishment ever! I’m never one to complain , in fact this is my first time writing a review. All I ask is for some common curtesy. I too work in customer service. I’m not sure if the service was so terrible because it was a bunch of young kids working but I do know I WILL NOT...

This is such a cute little spot! I came here for ice cream with my mother and my children and I was very pleased with my first visit. The shop itself was very lively when we arrived, there were a ton of people already sitting down eating their lunch when we arrived. The place is full of adorable trinkets, candy, and kitchen/home decor for sale as well, so it's a nice spot to get gifts for Christmas or stocking staffers! We only tried the ice cream, but it was 10/10! I had chocolate chip cookie dough that was delicious and full of giant bite-sized chunks of cookie dough. My son had chocolate, my mom had Butter Pecan, and we all left wanting more! My dad raves about the coconut almond chip ice cream. He buys it by the pint and keeps it stashed in the freezer at his house!

Next time I'm in town, I plan to try the maryland crab soup or the mac and cheese. They had a variety of soups and sides to pair with their deli sandwiches! The folks sitting down eating all seemed to be very happy with the food they ordered. I know if the other menu items are as good as the ice cream, then it's for sure got...
