I am giving it 1 star because I am not allowed to give it zero. This place was horrible. Warm water because they didn't have ice...who doesn't have ice at a bar/restaurant? Waitress didn't listen to my allergies and really seemed like we were bothering her when we asked questions about our meals. We asked for suggestions and she didn't really give us any and really was no help when making a meal selection. We ordered Fried Calamari and when it came out it was bland and oily. We asked if they seasoned the batter and she said..."did you dip in in the sauce?" Well even the sauce wouldn't stick to it when we tried to dip it and for that matter the sauce was horrible as well. When we sent the calamari back the yelling in the kitchen was terrible and loud. Who does that? When the other appetizer came out the waitress asked if we wanted her to put our meal order in? YES!! that is why we came there to eat dinner???? Prior to ordering anything I told the waitress I was ALLERGIC to cheese and what do you think came out on my dinner...CHEESE!!! I had to send my dinner back and what do you think happened....More yelling from the kitchen. The waitress who was inattentive said that was normal they just ignore it. Our friends ordered something with seafood and half the shells came out empty or not open and only 1 scallop and maybe 2 shrimp. My fiancé ordered a pizza...how can you mess up a pizza at a Neapolitan place? Well they did. Under cooked and the cheese and sauce slid right off. My corrected dinner came out and the chef (owner) came out of the kitchen and glared at me with a horrible look on his face. I was not impressed with him or the place. My meal had sauce that was greasy and no flavor. Ragu would have been better and more flavorful with less oily mess.

It was our first time in there and will for sure be our last. We have been trying to go to this place for a while and finally got there. We are sorry we went and should have continued to avoid it. It is horrible in there. Terrible atmosphere, horrible service, bland food, under cooked Pizza and lots of rude yelling from the kitchen. WOW...don't waste your money going there. It is so not worth it. Hard to hear our friends across the table over the yelling from the kitchen. AVOID AT...

11/2 Thursday night 7:30p. Upon arrival we were seated immediately. We unwrapped our silverware which was filthy. Food between the fork tines, caked food on the knife. We removed our water glasses from our side plates both glasses were disgusting. The stem & base of mine was greasy and had a gritty goo on it. My friend’s glass had dried lettuce & salad dressing on it. We brought this to our servers attention. She was a young girl, Cattina I believe, was her name. She apologized and said she’d bring us new silver and water glasses. 10 min later she hadn’t returned with the silver or glasses but we managed to flag her down to order a bottle of wine. 10min after that, she returned with a bottle of water and bread but no water glasses or wine. She then took our food order. She came back 5 minutes later with water glasses, shortly after she arrived with our salad. The Gorgonzola pear salad was tasty, but the pear was canned, disappointing. Still no wine. Our food arrived 2 minutes after our salad. Still no wine. Just as we were about to flag someone down our wine arrived. My friend ordered rigatoni with the cherry tomato sauce w/ grilled chicken. It was delicious and made specially for her off the menu. Mine was a very bland pasta carbonara. I had to add some marinara sauce to it in order for it to have any flavor. When it was clear we were done with our food our server arrived and offered us boxes and our check for which she immediately got a credit card. She returned quickly with the paid receipt and card, then disappeared. We didn’t see her again until we were walking out the door. We had to flag someone down for bags in which to take our food home. While our server was perfectly pleasant, she was a terrible server. Little to no follow up and terribly slow. By the time we managed to place our order the restaurant was virtually empty. I would come back to give it another chance as I believe the food has potential, but if the service & cleanliness are again sub par; there will not be a...

Just returned from our first visit to this restaurant. We ordered the wood fire pizza considering that is what the restaurant is promoting in their advertising. During the ordering I asked to have the white sauce on the Mimosa pizza replaced with the red sauce. The waitress said no problem. We asked about extra toppings and were told they were $1.50 each. So I placed my order, red sauce Mimosa and my girlfriend ordered the Margherita with a couple of extra toppings. When the pizzas arrived they looked pretty good. Upon closer inspection the bottom of over 1/2 my pizza was burnt black and tasted burnt. My pizza was a little worse than my girlfriend’s pizza but both were burnt on the bottom. I brought this to our waitress’s attention and to my shock she said that was the way wood fire pizza was and that they could not control the cooking temperature. So it can come out burnt and basically I should suck it up and eat it. I ask for the manager and was told that there was not one in the building so again suck it up and eat it. It gets better. The bill comes and I see that my $12 pizza with the white sauce exchanged for the red now cost me $15. I questioned the waitress. She said that she could only input my order as a red pizza with 2 $1.50 toppings. So basically suck it up and pay the bill. I again asked for the manager and was told again that this place doesn’t have anyone with authority on premise. This was my first and last visit here. It is sad because we have dined at their sister restaurant the Firenze and have loved it and the management. Hopefully they will read this review and institute changes at this place. Until then stay way or don’t order anything that goes in their...

I’m not usually one to do reviews unless I’m overly happy or upset. Keccos really let me down tonight. I ordered 2 pizzas and 2 apps, and was told a 40-45 minute pick up time. No problem. I get there in 40 and then get home in about 2 minutes, I live close. Our pizza was cold and soggy. I’ve worked in restaurants my whole life, I know stuff happens. But a call that my food was ready 20 minutes early would go a long way. I called to let them know my pizza was inedible. Wet, falling apart, barely warm. I told them I don’t want a refund, or my tip back, just if there was something they could do for me. The response was “let me ask the kitchen”… not sure if kitchens are the managers now but that was followed by “they kitchen said they can’t do anything”. For a nicer restaurant and a pricy meal I was just expecting either more efficiency in relaying the ready time or and update that it was ready way ahead of time.

It's hard to find authentic Italian cuisine in Reiserstown/Owings Mills, so Kecco's really stands out. I finally got the chance to try it in December (2024). Interior is neat and cozy, especially during the holiday season. Food was through the roof! Calamari was tender and crispy. Bread was soft and crunchy, and the olive oil that accompanied it was very flavorful. Love the idea of olives sitting at the bottom of the cup to enhance the flavor. Scialatielli con vongole was delicious! Very flavorful white wine sauce coats clams fresh with flavor and sweet cherry tomatoes that add sweetness. Didn't have room for dessert last time so I'm looking forward to trying dessert next time. In general, I'm looking forward to my next visit. Perhaps I'll try a woodfired pizza next time. Kecco's is legit Italian food in an area where Italian food doesn't necessarily thrive, or at least true feel-good Italian food.

LEGIT HEAVEN ASCENDED RIGHT NOW. Best pizza I've EVER tasted in my life. Went beyond my expectations and came with a scenic route as well through the Maryland countryside. The pizza looked extremely good, but when I bit into it, my mind temporarily ascended to heaven. Any language ever spoken and/or written cannot describe the flavor of the pizza. Even came with an unordered side of pleasant nostalgia when I picked basil from my childhood garden. The only con about this restaurant is when the truffle oil smelled pretty strong, but that was made irrelevant later. My new favorite restaurant. Overall rating: ∅/10, in which ∅ means that it cannot be measured with traditional numbers.
