Mixed Feelings
Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
I recently ordered food from here, an Italian restaurant that came highly recommended. While I truly enjoyed certain aspects of my experience, there were a few notable downsides that prevented me from giving it a full five-star rating.
Let's start with the positives. The ambiance of the place is undeniably charming, with its warm and inviting decor creating a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant's location is also convenient, making it easily accessible for both locals and visitors.
However, my enthusiasm waned when the food arrived. One of the most disappointing aspects was the portion sizes. As an Italian restaurant, I expected generous servings that would leave me feeling fully satisfied. Unfortunately, the portion sizes fell short of my expectations, leaving me surprised and somewhat hungry. Considering the prices charged, this was a significant letdown.
Speaking of prices, they did not align with the portion sizes provided. I understand that quality ingredients and culinary expertise come at a cost, but the disparity between the prices and the portions was noticeable. It left me feeling as though I didn't quite receive what I paid for, which was disappointing.
Despite these shortcomings, I must acknowledge that it does has potential. With a few improvements in portion sizes, better price-to-value ratio, and a focus on maintaining consistent flavors, it could become a standout Italian eatery. However, until these issues are addressed, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend it to others seeking an authentic Italian...
Read moreNothing better than a hot pizza on New Year’s Eve. Mira, thank you for suggesting I get a half cooked pizza since the restaurant was closing early that day and finish executing the pizza at home per your instructions. Perfection! The crust was golden, the cheese was melted perfectly and everything blended well. What a way to start the new year! Thank you!
Manoli Canoli oh me oh my; I don’t know whether you are Greek or Italian. But mama mia! You are a wonder among wonders! Pizza restaurants need to spy on how they make their dough so wonderful that you can’t wait to eat the crust instead of cutting it off with a chain saw. It took us 3 years to find this restaurant. Their grilled veal and mushroom piccata with capers is fabulous. The moussaka is wonderful. I prefer my chicken parmigiana with linguini and their white wine cream sauce instead of the tomato sauce. The Chef was very accommodating. The front of the house staff, Mira, is a gem as are her Italian accented counterparts. They are all very polite and accommodating. Their home grown Greek olives were to die for but the packaging leaves something...
Read moreHonestly have been eating here a lot and reviewed this positively a few years ago. So clearly you xan see I have been a customer. I have eaten in, bought to go, bought bottles of wine, olive oil and now that will stop. I will no longer be doing so thanks to the owner and apparently his rude 10 year employee which was never pleasant. She attacked my wife and 8 year old daughter because our daughter needed to use the bathroom because she has to travel two hours. Pretty nasty attitude to be honest. Sad to say goodbye, especially to the spinach ravioli which is what we always purchased. But with the attitude of the employee and manager as you can see in his response below they do not need customers! It is a shame that a family restaurant does not have a family oriented heart. Seriously, what is so upsetting to you and your employee that an 8 year old used your bathroom. Do you want a dollar so she can use it? I guess we will just go over to the giant, their employees do not seem to have an issue even if we don't buy anything. Props to the workers there that have a heart for an...
