Monaghan's Pub — Restaurant in Maryland

NOT PROFESSIONAL! There was a server that I really liked. She made it seem like it would be a smooth process to host an event. I have no issues with the wait staff!! It is the Catering Manager that was unprofessional! I understanding being busy but that is what assistants are for or you will just have to pull some extra hours. Returning a phone call is NOT HARD!! John (catering manager) was very difficult to get in touch with. He never returned my calls. He always said that he would get back to me and did not. I liked the facility because it was low key was able to accommodate a small group (20-40 people) for a good price. However, the stress of trying to lock in a date is not worth it. I am trying to throw my friend a surprise party so I gave him several dates that I could do it. I told him money was not a problem and he still did not get back to me. The lack of professionalism is concerning. I called so much that I am sure the staff recognized my number. Some of them even recognized my name. That is terrible. Monaghan's is an ok spot. The prices are a lil high, but comparable. They don't carry everything. I like 24oz yingling, they don't carry that.... from a customer stand point, that's a turn off. I normally go here as convenience to any given rout on any particular day. They stay stocked with what they do carry for the most part, so that's a plus. Pup/ carryout. Just realized they served food .. let my hungry self try...Smh... maybe my fault. I normally get a cheeseburger to judge how good a restaurant's food is, let's be honest, how can you f-up an American staple. I went out on a limb. The food wasn't good for the 1st time ever & I have been coming here from time to time. The atmosphere isn't pleasant @ all to people of color ever,but very warm to those that are not of color. Carroll was our server she rushed to take our order. Brought back one appetizer instead of the two that I ordered. She then brought the meals almost throwing them on the table. However a full table of older white men came in & she greeted them with smiles very pleasant & ready to patiently take there orders it made me sick to my stomach to watch.
