Best food in my neighborhood! I originally found this place while looking for something new and near my barber, me and my friend wanted to try something new. When we first walked in we were kinda unsure if it was a good place as it was empty and the free water was not that good. The place however was very clean and well maintained. However once they brought the chips and the sauce we knew we were in for a surprise. I got a chicken burrito and mango smoothie. The mango smoothie reminded me of one I had in mexico and the burrito was really good! The chicken burrito had a green tomatillo sauce in it and beans, rice, sour cream, pico de gallo and cheese. The manager’s name is luis and he speaks english and spanish! I ended up coming back here several times and even came here on my birthday! They sang for me, put a sombreo on my head and gave me cake. Also if you come with a big family they will combine the tables for you! Overall I have been here 4+ times and have never had a single problem. The only bad thing I can say is the water but thats free so there is no complaint.

The Masitas de Puerco or in English, pork chunks were delicious, very tender, and juicy. They were not deep fried, which made me happy as I hadn't tried the Masitas this way before. They were seasoned just right, Fork tender and served with black beans, rice, and plantains. The portion is very generous and had to take the rest of dinner to go. My friend had the Lomo Saltado and said it was delicious, I looked over at the plate, and it was pretty empty, so I'm taking their word for it, lol. Churros was our dessert, and it did not disappoint. The chocolate served with it was more than enough for both of us to share. The staff was awesome, and some were joking around with us. They had the right amount of checking in to see if we needed more water or anything else, and that was with all the staff, not just our server. Overall, it was a nice place with great food and a comfortable atmosphere. I'm definitely coming back here again to try other things on the menu and possibly happy hour. Cheers!

We went here today and were very impressed. The restaurant is neat and clean. Plenty of room too. In the spring time the patio will be great! You will notice that their menu not only has the tex-mex dishes that you’d expect, they have some that you might not have expected. But Rio Grande also has a full complement of popular American dishes, burgers and pastas that you will not find in any tex-Mex or Mexican restaurants. The menu and the quality of the food will distinguish this restaurant from others. There are two main chefs and they are sisters. They do a great job and are very friendly. We had the taquitos and that broke the satisfaction meter for all three of us- and my wife is hyper critical of all things food. The taco dishes featured 3 LARGE tacos that were delicious. My wife had the sopas and loved them. The server allowed us to modify our orders from the menu. I had the fiesta blackened chicken and it was tender, filling and delicious. Their side salad was a good size and every vegetable we saw was totally fresh. So we all really enjoyed our apps and meals. At this point my wife is saying that she could make this our regular place. I agree. They currently sell beer and wine in bottles. My wife indicated that their selection was a good one. We had the Murphy Goode and it was - uh- good. The experience was so good up to this point i decided to try their desserts. We tried the brownie hot fudge sundae (wow) and the funnel cake sticks. Great stuff. We were all smiles and we are looking forward to our next visit. Thanks Rio Grande! See...

May update this review later.

I've eaten here a bunch of times now via uber eats cause I wanted to try different things on the menu.

The good:

The Chili Cheese Nacho was delicious and the portion was huge. Like, big enough for 3 or 4 people. Good stuff! Probably the best nachos from any place on uber eats in Germantown.

The Funnel Cake fries were delicious every time I got them. Would prefer something other than the chocolate sauce if they could add some other options. Just been eating em plain. Yum

The fried chicken was decent. Would order it again.

The steak tacos were delicious and filling.

The bad:

The BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich was good when it was delivered with coleslaw. However I've ordered this three times and they've only brought the coleslaw once. Gotta have coleslaw for the sandwich to make it complete! Come on guys. It also comes with your choice of fries or chips, but they tend to ignore your choice and choose for you for some reason.

The mac and cheese wasn't good. I'm not sure how you can mess up mac and cheese but ours didn't smell good or taste good, to me or my grandma. I actually had to toss it tonight when I ordered. Kinda disappointing.

Have had some other mix ups when ordering, typically stuff that was forgotten. In these cases, uber eats will give you a refund with no problem but you still have to place another order if someone's meal is messed up. That costs money and takes time -- not good...

🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮WORST EVER!!!

WE LIVED IN TEXAS FOR OVER 30 YEARS, AND HAVE HAD SOME OF THE BEST AUTHENTIC MEXICAN CUISINE THERE AND IN MEXICO!!!

The food at Grande was not even close.

Very sub-average in taste at best, but what was most upsetting was the very little portions of food that was in each container for the HIGH PRICE per plate!!!

I paid for Baby Back Ribs which were $23.95 , for ONLY 2 RIBS!!! That's right ONLY 2 (TWO)!!!

The Steak Fajitas was $32.95 and ONLY had on 4 (FOUR) THIN STRIPS!!!

The Grilled Shrimp Fajitas were $29.95 for 6 (SIX) relatively SMALL Shrimp and the shells and tails were still on them!!! If they had been Prawns this may have been understandable, BUT THEY DEFINITELY WERE TOO SMALL to be any more then just plain average shrimp!

THE TACO PLATTERS WE ORDERED ARE NOT WORTH THE MENTION, AS THEY WERE EQUALLY SUBSTANDARD!!!

I could go on, but it only gets more disastrous...ETC.

NOT SURE HOW THEY ARE RATED 4 STARS, unless they are writing their own reviews.

OUR TOTAL BILL WAS $180.23, WHICH IS NOT AN ISSUE UNTIL WE SAW THE EXTREMELY SMALL PORTIONS WHICH WAS UNFORTUNATELY MADE MORE DISAPPOINTING WHEN WE ENCOUNTERED THE TASTE OF THE FOOD.

MASSIVELY HUGE RIPOFF!!!

You can do better elsewhere.
