We came here on the recommendation of a regular customer. There were a group of us, some from out of town for a conference. We left an event at the Marina and decided to dine here in the evening. They were out of crabs and oysters which no biggie. One of the girls was smart enough to place an order earlier in the day so I did get two crabs. They were well seasoned and very meaty. The problem comes in with my food. Myself and another girl ordered the crab boil (attached) she ate hers and I ate one of my shrimp. I added some Old Bay but the shrimp tasted over cooked and there was hardly any seasoning. We asked the waitress if it could be sent back and she said she would get the manager. A young girl comes over and asked “What’s the problem?” I say these crab boils don’t really have any seasoning. She said that she could bring me some seasoning. At that point we asked for her manager. Her manager was a heavy set lady also with an attitude. And she said that the food had been cooked to “their standards” and they would not do any refunds. We asked her where it was written she said on the menu. The menu mentioned something about drinks but not about food. One of my colleagues asked the manager if she would eat that? Her response was “I don’t eat a lot of seafood like that.” She also offered to bring me some seasoning. But I was never offered to have my food replaced or refunded. What I believe she saw was a group of black people at an all white establishment and assumed that we were just some black people trying to get over again. What she didn’t know was we were a group of 6 figure earners that sell life insurance and we are a very successful in our industry. You never know who you might be serving. We told her that because of this she cost her waitress her tip. The manager said “That’s ok I’ll make it up.” That young lady could have easily had $150 tip between the 10 of us at that table which we would have gladly done if we would have been treated with the same respect as anyone that came into that establishment and asked for their meal to be returned. If it wasn’t proof enough that I wasn’t trying to “get over” is I left the entire boil sitting right on that table. I paid $30 something, just to leave my food there and not eat it? I hope someone reads this and is disheartened by this treatment that we received just because we were profiled based on who they...
Read moreI went to skipjacks crab in middle river that usually has good crabs. I received a takeout on and the crabs suppose to be large but the body of the crabs was small and the inside was hardly any meat and messy. It was Unlike them. I called the manager and she resisted at first but told me to bring them back and she will give me a fresh batch.I returned the ones I had and wanted to upgrade to get extra large and pay extra. I knew something was fishy went she said it's an exchange and I had to get large again which did not make sense if I was going to pay more. Mind you, I live in Randallstown and had to go far to get them Also,, back tracking, I got them Friday because it was no take out on the weekend and told her I wanted to put them in refrigerator until Sunday. I opened them today and could not believe what I saw. Moving forward, all she did was reheated my crabs, because not only do they look the same, they are more messing on the inside and some missing legs. She choice be to do bad service with and I spent 200 dollars, gas, and was late to my engagement to bring the crabs to. She played me, and I felt disrespected. Just because a place give good service to many do not mean they will not switch up on another and give bad service, cause human being are working and subject to erro annd bad behavior I want a refund for my crabs and compensation for my time and gas, which I will not get but I am a customer and each customer...
Read moreFood was great. It was July 27th, 2025 and we were told that the air conditioning was being fixed imminently but we were there 3.5 hours and the temperature was a consistent 80-82 degrees. We know this because we were sitting next to the thermostat. My wife complained that she was sitting in a pool of sweat. There were mold spots on the ceiling above our table that were sweating drops of water onto our table. We met with relatives to discuss something of importance and could barely hear each other. It was extremely loud. We ordered crabs ahead of time but still waited for an hour and a half before they arrived at the table. I ordered the steam pot and my wife ate crabs and cream of crab soup. We all had the delicious corn on the cob. Like I said, we were there for 3.5 hours mainly due to waiting on items to be delivered to the table. We asked for drink menus and received one to share amongst 6 people. We asked for the desert menu and again waited 30 min for it to be delivered to the table. Again, one menu for 6 people. If the air conditioning was indeed broke and not just the owner trying to save money and the Service was faster/better, the restaurant would be something I would try again as the food, like I said was really good. As it stands, I will not be going back any time soon hoping they get their...
