I give 5 stars for the food but 0 stars for the customer service so that's why I give it a three. My two experiences that I"m basing my 0 stars for customer service are that a week ago I went in, purchased two dinners that totaled $17.01. I gave the cashier a $20 and she started counting out $2.99. Seeing that I gave her a penny to round it out so that she could give me back $3.00 instead of $2.99. She looked perplexed and then gave me $2.00. When I tried to explain to her that she owed me a dollar her response was the cash register had a two in the amount she owed me. I then proceed to explain not once but twice how significant the one penny was and she couldn't grasp it. Now the line is growing longer and she still hasn't given me the extra dollar she owes me because she couldn't see how the penny added to $2.99 added up to $3.00. After a few grunts from tired customers, she gave me the dollar still not sure of how that added up. The school system is clearly failing our people. She looked to be about 20 years old. Shameful. Today I asked about a stewed half chicken dinner . the cashier said yes we sell that so I ordered it. When my order was ready another person came up and said they did it for me this time but they won't do it again. I said do what? She said we don't sell half stewed chicken dinners and she again said but they did it for me this time but they won't do it again and then she said okay? As if she were doing me a favor. Southern Blues you did not do me a favor. Instead of acting like you are doing something special as if I asked you to, you should probably spend your time educating and training your staff on what you do and DO NOT sell so that if someone asks for something and you don't have it, they can be told that at ordering, not chastised afterwards. Often times, good food is overshadowed by poor customer service and though I enjoy the food their, the service is not the best and a training class in "tact" and how to give 5 star customer service is needed. If you don't sell stewed half chicken but stewed legs and stewed breasts then that should be mentioned during the ordering process and not make it seem like the customer did something wrong. Contrary to what was thought to be the case, I did not ask for any special accommodation. I would have gladly ordered...
Read moreI have been to Southern Blues twice and the food is great, but they lack poor customer service from what I have experienced personally. I just went today and the girl named Cashi (name on the recepit) who rung me up at the register was unprofessional, had a poor attitude, and it was just bad customer service overall. She didn't greet me at all, she just looked at me. After I said, "I would like for 4 wings", she goes, "Okay" with an attitude and a rude expression on her face. So I continue to finish my order up, by telling her the sides I wanted. She rung my order up and it came to $17.00 and some change. As I am looking at the receipt after she rung me up, she charged me for 5 wings with a dinner roll meal. In my head I am thinking that's not what I asked her or ordered. After I left the register, I went back and I told her that's not what I ordered, she was like, "I am saving you money, it would have been the same price if I charged you for four wings(She wasn't saving me any money)." Regardless, she should have asked me if that's what I wanted before she swiped my card and told me how she was saving me money, not just go ahead swipe my card. As the other girl put my food I ordered on the table, I looked inside the bag and their was a dinner roll in the bag and I didn't ask for a dinner roll. She should have asked me if I wanted cornbread or a dinner roll from the beginning when she was taking my order. So I told my boyfriend to look at my receipt because it said "dinner roll" and he was like, "Did she ask you what you wanted?" I said, "No, she didn't ask me anything", so she gets all loud and goes, "What's wrong, What's wrong?" all loud and rude. First of all, I am the customer and you do not talk to a customer like that and you don't present yourself as employee in a place of business like she protrayed. So my boyfriend said, "Did you put her cornbread in the bag because that is what she wanted?" She goes, "I got it, I got." If she would have spoke and asked me what I wanted, then she wouldn't have had to tell the girl to put corn bread in my bag after the fact. I'll be calling the manager on Monday because you can have great food, but poor customer service is not right in any business and it should be addressed. I will no longer be going back after my experience to...
Read moreI usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel inclined to today. First, I live about 30 mins from the closest location. So I ordered my food over the phone. The lady tells me it will be about 15/20 mins. So I hope in the car and head over as soon as we disconnect. I arrive about 30 mins later and walk inside, fully expecting the order to be ready or maybe even have been siting for a few minutes. Not the case. The food was not ready. The gentlemen in the front says it will be ready in a few minutes. No problem. 10 mins go by. I walk in, not ready. He says a few mins. Tells the cook or whoever I’m here so get it ready. A total of 20 mins go by and food is still is not ready. I see customers walking in, ordering, leaving with their food. I literally ordered two dinners. Almost an hour later to the time I initially called, my food is finally bagged and given to me. I get home, only to be greatly dis-satisfied with mostly everything. The candy yams are good, but the pork ribs were just not it. I can’t even put my finger on it but I trashed them. The mac and cheese was terrible. The fried chicken was okay, but the fries were barely seasoned. I also ordered peach cobbler that unfortunately did not meet my expectations. $40 wasted. I have been ordering here for years. Literally since they first opened - and todays experience was just so terrible that I’ve decided I’m not going back in the future. I think SB has been on a slow decline for a few years, though the customer service has never been where it should be. But today was it for me. Sad to say, you officially...
