So this place is amazing. My fiancé and I come here together (when we don’t want to cook, which is often). The tldr is that the food is wonderful and homey. The people here are always kind and joyful. Service is superb both dine-in and carry out.
We first found this place because we were tired on my fiancés way home from work and this was on the way. You have to drive past a gas station and the area looks dead, which may give you some preconceived notions about the place that is far from accurate. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. The tables are spread out so you don’t have to worry about bumping into anyone. It quickly replaced the other Indian restaurant that my family had taken me to when I was a kid.
The menu has so many options and are split between vegetarian and meats which is super convenient for me. Food wise, we always get a masala and a paneer dish since the spicy and creamy pair so well. You can mix and match to share the entrees which is one of my favorite things about Indian restaurants. The creamy ones do cut back on the spice a lot so keep that in mind when pairing. Without fail, my fiancé always gets the samosas as an appetizer. Tonight I was trying to get her to try the pakora but we ended up with both instead of just one! The samosas are the perfect size in my opinion and they give you four of them. I don’t really care for sagg (spinach) dishes and my fiancé doesn’t like dal (lentil) dishes much so we don’t normally order those, but despite those limitations we still have plenty to choose from! Also, the mango lassis here are so creamy and delicious!
No mater who is serving us, the hosts have always been sweet and helpful. Out of all of the times we've gone, there was only one time we had to wait a bit longer for our food which was when they were super busy and a table few spaces away was causing some issues (that the host handled professionally and kindly might I add even though they didn’t deserve it). My fiancé has some issues with overstimulation, so the calm nature of this restaurant is a huge deal to me. We always end up ordering a lot of food because it’s really good for...
Read moreOrdered a delivery through GrubHub with this restaurant. They called to ask if I was expecting GrubHub to deliver or themselves. I told them it doesn't matter. Hour and a half goes by no food delivery. So I called them and they said the food is not ready yet but will be soon. Also, no GrubHub delivery person has come. When I contacted GrubHub they said the store is setup to manage their own deliveries. I sent my wife to the restaurant. Less than five minutes later, they told her they gave the food away and it's no longer available. I called them and the manager said GrubHub cancelled the order just now but they also don't have the food anymore. If I want to make a new order I can pay for it. So 1) the management didn't set up their GrubHub profile correctly. 2) they gave away the food that I had already ordered. 3) they were completely unapologetic and said it was GrubHub's fault. The food might be good? Who knows but I can tell you the customer service at this restaurant is atrocious.
Edit: to add GrubHub let us know the restaurant didn't set themselves up correctly in their system and were the ones to cancel my order. The manager on the phone claimed GrubHub cancelled my order so they had given away the food within the 30 seconds before cancellation and my wife arriving to pick up the food. I get making a mistake but dishonesty will not help a restaurant make it...
Read moreWe went today for lunch. The restaurant has a really lovely ambiance with good scents wafting through and peaceful music plating. The service is excellent. My children had not eaten at an Indian restaurant before and our server explained everything to them very kindly and clearly so they knew what they were ordering. We had a variety of dishes all of which were delicious! My husband like spicier food, so he had his "medium," while I had mine "mild", and our son "American" (extra mild). My daughter had a fluffy pancake dish that dishes enjoyed. I liked the sauces that came with it, but she did not (but she's young and likes the familiar like most younger children). She loved the pancake itself as well as the spring rolls, rice, and naan. My son loved the cauliflower appetizer we got, which surprisedhim because he usually dislikes cauliflower. He loved the spring rolls, garlic Naan, and butter chicken he ordered. My husband had chicken tikka masala and said it was excellent. I like to get the mango lassi when I dine here because it's extremely tasty and creamy. As a bonus it cuts the spice right down if I try something spicier than my palate prefers. That let's me try new dishes every time I dine here. This was my fifth of sixth time eating here. Every time has been a...
