T J's Carry Out — Restaurant in Maryland

I came here because of usual local reviews and the fact that it’s small business and that it’s Christian based , And that is exactly why I am dissatisfied because I let just them things make me want to go and get food from them. Long story short I ordered a open face roast beef platter , While ordering it, I specifically stated more than one time I wanted it medium well into which the lady didn’t even understand what I was saying , That should have been my warning/sign right there, but I did not put two and two together, I understand them being a small business family owned , that they may not be able to afford five star Michelin chefs , But when I go to a carryout place, I expect to have at least least real so to speak home-cooked food if it’s a mom and Pop shop , All I was given was frozen french fries that were dropped in a fryer and literal Walmart packaged roast beef lunchmeat , With instant gravy. I go to another place periodically that is supposedly family owned and it’s called Expressway pit beef in Odenton Maryland I have gotten the open faced roast beef platter from them MULTIPLE TIMES Every single time it was perfect and exceptional. I do admit that in my mind, I was thinking of this when I was ordering this So-called open face beef platter , What I received was so so so below my expectations. I sadly live over the line of the county in Baltimore city so it wouldn’t be as simple as bringing it back and asking for a refund , I am disgruntled upset and still going hungry and potentially have to spend more money to get myself something to eat if I can’t find something at my own house. I am extremely disappointed & Hungry. I literally tried to give it the benefit of doubt and take a bite, but I cannot stand the taste of Walmart lunchmeat, and instant gravy I don’t care what the price is for the meal. You need to be more transparent about what you’re serving your customers. I also am not able to fully verify if this roast beef has any contamination with pork products because it comes from a bag, Eating pork goes against my religious beliefs and my dietary beliefs. They should either be more transparent with what they’re serving or go and get a real open face beef platter ingredients to make it the proper way and charge more money. They might be open at 6am or they might not be open til 10am. But, their food is usually pretty good when you do get it. Whether you're getting an incredibly cheap breakfast or going for the over-sized cheese steaks, you're sure to find something that you'll like as long as you're not counting calories or worried about getting accosted in the parking lot shared with the adjoining liquor store. Recommend that you go during daylight hours. The service is fast and the staff is courteous. However, English may be tricky depending on who's working. Learning a few Korean greetings will definitely get you better treatment. Oh and THE BEST Half-and-Halfs anywhere...

I'm not around the Linthicum Heights area as much as I used to be, but every time I come back, I make sure I stop by TJs Carryout. Prices/portion is absolutely amazing, and the food is delicious. They're up and running early in the morning to make sure the regulars grab a tasty breakfast sandwich/platter on their way to work. When it comes to lunch, do not underestimate that chicken cheese steak. I don't know how they do it, but that chicken cheese steak is out of this world.
