I discovered Terri's café when I was searching for a local breakfast place that wasn't a chain over a year ago. I have been going there ever since whenever I am in town.
This small café is run by Terri, her husband, and son and has 8 tables. They do a lot of private catering and have a fairly busy lunch crowd from various schools and businesses. It's tucked away in a business complex but well sign posted.
The food is very good and reasonably priced. BUT the reason this place gets FIVE stars is due to its friendly, cheerful atmosphere. The owners make you feel at home and go out of their way to make you happy. They will prepare the food to your taste, substituting ingredients if you ask. There is unlimited access to coffee, iced tea and lemonade. You can even take a cup of coffee to go. There are daily specials and one can order online. Although the place gets busy at times, the owners give everyone a smile and make sure that everything is to your liking.
Some folks might think this review was written by a friend or family. It's true. Terri's café has made a friend of me and treat me like a welcome member of their family! Support this locally owned business that takes pride...
Read moreMoving from Texas, not very many places put here in maryland have shown the hospitality that were used to. Sorry maryland, you're slacking we found Terri's cafe off of Google when we googled local cafes. My parents were in town and we were looking for a good breakfast, and at this spot...is exactly what got. Their Omelets are Phenomenal. I got the western..my parents the willies Omelet and all of us left way too satisfied. I would say it's less kid friendly than most cafes but my kiddos (1 and 4) did just fine. Their pancake stacks are huge and they were good! My son loved em! They don't use glass dishware, they use Styrofoam plates....i would recommend switching to paper for more friendly environmental purposes. But the food quality cannot be debated!
Also, the owner and his wife showed very great customer care, got us anything we needed before we could even ask, checked up on us periodically and even took the time for some friendly conversation..all things were used to having in the dirty south! They spoke with high energy, manors, and a lot of love for their business. I love that they also help out around their community.
Five stars and we will see...
Read moreI visited Terri's Cafe one morning after taking my son to school. I had read the positive reviews and was excited to visit. Terri greeted me warmly and I asked her what was good as this was my first visit. She excitedly gave suggestions after giving me anither enthusiastic welcome. Her last suggestion, "the omelettes are great" caught my attention because I love omlettes! I ordered the California Omelette which came with potatoes and toast. I also ordered coffee. I was hungry because I had been sick for several days prior without much appetite. I waited about 10 or so minutes - and I was presented with a plentiful plate..my food was delicious. After I paid my bill, Terri thanked me for coming..said she hoped I would visit again - and gave me a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie for "later". WOW! I told her that I would definitely come back - and...
