This was the first time I had eaten in the restaurant, though I had had carry-out in the past, and it was amazing. It was even better to have a meal in the restaurant and be served hot, delicious food. I asked our server, whose name was Jerry, whether I should get a veal dish or the seafood fra diavolo. He said the seafood was excellent, and it was a huge dish, and I should consider that. A salad and garlic bread were served with the meal. Having carried it out, the dressing for the salad is delicious, and it's so light and refreshing. The garlic bread was good, but it was a little bland for me. It didn't have enough garlic oomph, even though you could physically see the garlic on the bread itself. It made for a good dipping sauce for my dish. The others at our table had veal marsala and veal saltimbocca. Both dishes look delicious, and we're well-prepared, but they didn't seem to be as large as the dish I had ordered. Maybe they were hungrier than I was, maybe not! Anyway, we all left there full, and I had a second meal for the next day. The food prices were reasonable, the wait staff and service were terrific, as Jerry was always there to check on us and ensure there was nothing else we needed. Additionally, there were plenty of tables available on the night we went. I look forward to returning and trying other special dishes, especially the veal dishes, in the future. As I don't prepare veal at home, I enjoy eating it at nice Italian restaurants. Highly recommend visiting here; you won't go wrong with any of the food they serve.
I came back here a second time recently and had an issue with our server, Miley, who informed us that we could not obtain new forks because the restaurant keeps track of them. That's ridiculous, and I have never heard that before at any other restaurant. What if you drop your fork on the ground? Are you required to use it again? That's a huge fail to say you count your forks. I could have walked over to another table and gotten a new set, regardless of the answer I received, but I was left speechless. I hope management reads this update and resolves the issue. This is...
Read moreOne waitress, sure she makes money but we waited 28 minutes till a waitress came to the table and 18 more for water. A person ordered the fish and chips so I asked the waitress if it was batter dipped and fresh both answers were yes. It was very over cooked and was either cornflake coater. It was actually hard on my mouth. There was zero seasoning and I had to ask for cocktail and ketchup. The fries were about room temp and they got the salt the fish should have had all in all substandard. I told the waitress but she did nothing. So I left the fish there2.5 pieces of 4 small pieces. They should not have said it was good nothing about it was good. I gave it a 1 star for the food. Lots of food was cream coated. I don't mind cream but I believe you can't taste the food when drowning in cream. Cooking around the world and 5 years of culinary school has given me the ability to understand and the experience to know.
Anyways just want to be honest and forthright. The waitress should have taken the meal off the bill, no question about it, it was that unacceptable, overcooked , hard and tasteless with oversalted warm fries.
Thank You

Read moreThere's been a few hit or miss restaurants that have opened up around the Stevenson campus, and the 3-5 mile radius around it in Owings Mills, but not many to get excited about. Rincon is a decent new pop up that offers pretty good fried wings and pizza, and excellent liver & onions (which is so hard to find nowadays!) I've ordered from here several times and mostly everything has been pretty good. Some of the Italian dishes are made less like traditional ones found in some of the more upscale sit down restaurants, but are decent enough for a quick bite. Service is excellent, the portions are very generous, and the pricing is apropos; thus, I'm more than happy to overlook a some of the more unusually prepared dishes (e.g., chicken piccata which is made with what appeared to be canned mushrooms, and spaghetti noodles instead of angel hair pasta), etc. Overall my experiences have all been pleasant and I hope Rincon has success and longevity in...
