Came in here on a Monday night a few minutes after 9 with my mom for a couple personal pan pizzas. My mother's blood sugar levels were so low she was barely coherent (37for those in the know) so I quickly placed our order. I asked for a fountain soda and was told he would give me bottled but not fountain. I told him I wanted fountain and he asked if I was going to pay him $2.25 for his glass. No idea what he was talking about I looked around for a commemorative glass or something while telling him no. Order placed I go out to help Mom in and as I am directing her where to sit at the nearest booth he stops us and says the dinning room is closed. I look at the sign which says open 11-11 and he starts reciting they are open such and such days from such and such time and that he didn't say anything because he assumed "I knew that. Just like everyone else". Again, all I'm really care about is getting Mom something to bring her sugar up. I tell him what is going on and ask if he has anything I can give her...he starts in on everything there needing to be prepared. Given no other choice but to buy a bottle of Mt Dew because he clearly isn't going to help by getting her even a glass of water! Eventually we get our pizzas, I get mom settled in the car to eat, and open mine. Four pieces of pepperoni...and he made these before he realized I wasn't "just like everyone else" so this is just how they make them. Here's the funny part though: soon as we got our pizzas he turned off the light and locked the door. It is only 9:30 and according to him carry out is open until 11pm; so why the locked doors? I mean, this is Marysville not Harlem. Does he actually feel that threatened by a 70yr old woman almost in a diabetic coma and her 5ft 80lb daughter that he feels the need to barricade himself in? Idk...but I'm never eating there again and if it hadn't been a matter of life or death for my mom I wouldn't have this time. Someone needs to...
Read moreWe ordered two personal pan pizzas on-line. Pizza arrived and when I took a bite of the first piece, I noticed there was NO sauce!!!!!!!! I lifted up the cheese and toppings and there was no sauce. Who makes pizza without sauce or with only a drop of sauce?????????? I checked the other slices and only one of the four pieces had sauce and it was just a half a teaspoon of sauce (a mere smudge to be exact). I called to let them know I was not happy about them not putting sauce on our pizzas and I was told that's the way they do it and they go by weight. This was unacceptable to me! When I told her that didn't make sense, she hung up on me five consecutive times without verbally answering the phone, but I persisted in calling. Finally the person answered the phone who hung up on me and used the excuse that she didn't hang up on me and that they were just busy. That is still no reason to not settle a dispute with a customer. Every time she saw my number, she clicked to hang up immediately before even answering my call. I didn't let this deter me so I persisted in calling until they could not continue to ignore me. I asked to speak to a manager. Person identified herself as the delivery person and told me the manager was busy and that she could give us a credit for the pizza if we were not satisfied. We received a credit for our order. After receiving the credit, I decided to read reviews and sure enough other people have had the same miserable experience too with no sauce and many other complaints too. When you order pizza, you expect to get some sauce (even if it's a thin coating over the pizza)--NOT just one small fleck of sauce...
Read moreIt has been years since I have had the idea of even ordering Pizza Hut. Partly because in my opinion the food quality has been lacking and they just aren’t who they use to be.
When they announced the Big New Yorker though, my childhood strings pulled hard on my heart. So I googled Pizza Huts in and around Columbus. The Marysville location had the best reviews and rating from what I found. A friend and I drove 40 mins to the location.
I had very very low expectations of how this pizza trip was going to turn out. When we pulled up there were about 6 cars in the parking lot. 6 more than I expected haha . Since we drove a decent distance we ended up just walking in and ordering. Skyler provided perfect customer service and made sure to relay our special request to the team in the back for our order.
Twenty minutes later and our order was ready. My friend ended up getting her favorite which was the stuffed crust and I had the New Yorker. Again I can’t stress on how low our expectations were for this order. BUT let me tell you! This Marysville location restored my faith in Pizza Hut and made my taste buds feel like they were back in 1999! Both our pizzas were cooked to perfection. The undercarriage was crisp, the sauce and toppings were perfect. I was blown out of the water. Honestly from here on out I wouldn’t have a problem driving 40 min to satisfy my Pizza Hut craving again.
Kudos to that team that night, they did a great job. I can see why there was so much foot traffic that night.
My only complaint and it has nothing to do with the food is that I wish they had their dining room open to sit...
