Castaway Cafe — Restaurant in Mashpee

Came here, for the first time ever, this afternoon, and got a late breakfast. The first thing I have to mention is how wonderful and welcoming the family was. They all have great personalities, are quite engaging and their smiles definitely make you feel welcome and appreciated 🥰 I would go out of my way to come back for breakfast (or try lunch or dinner) because of their hospitality and service, alone - So, you already know, I was extremely pleased to find that the food was fantastic, as well. It just doesn't get any better than that! They have a few tables inside to sit at and a few tables outside to eat at, as well. I'm not sure if it's table service, or not. I believe they started as a pizza shop type of place and then added breakfast to the menu, so you order the way you would at a pizza shop: at the counter, and then get called up to the counter to grab the food when it's done. I'm not sure, though, because I didn't attempt to get table service. I don't see that being much of an issue for anyone, unless you're trying to have the type of dining experience where you're catered to, at the table. So, if you're looking to be waited on or have a fancy vibe while you have breakfast or dinner, this isn't the place - but if you're not concerned with any of that and you're just looking for a nice place to have a wonderful breakfast prepared by some incredibly kind people - this is the place to go! 😊

Never had a meal here I didn't like and stop by several times a week. Fast, convenient, diverse menu. A+ quality far better than any sub or burger place around but they even have healthy dishes from the land they come from-- Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Curry, etc. I couldn't recommend this place more. Seems like just a couple running this place day in and day out. It's great to see people come here and live the American dream. That's what this country was all about. Very friendly people, greatly appreciative of your support and take their job very seriously trying to ensure the best customer service they can and will often check to see if the food they made is to your liking. Why waste money on a chain or even a local spot where people will be rude, etc? Seems like this day in age no one knows how to appreciate a dollar or give stellar customer service but not these people! Couldn't recommend them more. Also not only is the quality top notch and quickly prepared, but very reasonably priced. There's even a burger fry drink combo for like 7 bucks. That's unheard of this day in age. Only way to get something like that somewhere else would be with a time machine. Good luck finding...

New to the area and in reading the positive reviews for Castaway Cafe, we decided to try it. They did not disappoint! It's definitely a hidden gem; it's a small place, very unassuming/not fancy inside but the food was excellent! The steak and cheese was delicious, Caesar salad had tons of croutons and the dressing was fabulous, fries were perfect (thicker than shoe string but thinner than steak fries) and the chicken fingers were the BEST! We like chicken fingers with more chicken and less (or none!) of that crunchy "coating" and these totally hit the mark! Would definitely recommend Castaway and will be going back frequently. Last note: the staff was terrific - very kind...
