Other Reviews are fake- we went based on the high star rating but clearly the owners relatives and friends wrote them.

Restaurant was EMPTY- that should have been our first red flag.

I eat Indian food a lot and our Total bill came to over $80 for two adults and two kids (8 and 5yrs) so bare with me:

Second red flag should have been the bland, tasteless appetizers- chicken pakoras, rotis with chicken and cheese inside (both types tried) and all types of samosa sold (meat and veg) were utterly horrible and unappetizing. Chicken of pakoras were bland, tasteless, chewy and couldn’t disintegrate in mouth enough to swallow - was like fat you could not chew into nothing. Rotis had no flavor and were greasy. As for samosa we could not take more than few bites so even before food arrived table was full of uneaten un-palatable food.

The server in a turban didn’t speak when spoken to and would run off rather than answer questions about the dishes- he gave me his back rather than saying ‘I’ll get someone who knows about the food’ which I found rude.

Meat kababs were bland and tasteless, chicken biryani was basically rice mixed with butter chicken gravy (Saalan/ curry) peas and chunks of chicken added with raw diced onions and peppers. I would not call that a biryani - biryani does not have rice mixed with a wet sauce (let alone butter chicken sauce which has cream in it) the raita is the sauce and the biryani is meant to be DRY spiced rice with chicken mixed in it.

What we got was god knows what.

We only took everything with us (ie all the food as it was uneaten) because the bill was...

I had driven past this place a few times on my way to work and finally decided to try their food. After looking at the menu, I got an understanding of the name of the restaurant. The greeting as I entered into the restaurant was wonderful. The host and the waiter were polite and informative. The space is very well kept and inviting as well.

As I usually do when trying a new place, I always ask what they like to eat. I ended up ordering the Beef Samosa's and Saag Kofta. It took about 20mins to get my food. It was in a bag but it had been raining. I had to asked for a plastic bag and utensils... which I felt should have automatically been placed in the bag.

I tend to go based off smells first and then sight, then taste...and I became a little concerned that I didn't smell any coriander or cumin coming from my bag. Once I had the opportunity to eat, I started with the samosa's. You could tell they were fresh, but unfortunately, they were very greasy & heavy, not flufy and light. However, they were fairly tasty... nothing to be impressed by. Also, the mint sauce looked and tasted way different then what I'm use to. It was bright green and tasted like flavor was added to it. The plum sauce was also abnormally sweet. The Saag Kofta was definitely missing those flavors that I'm use to in Saag. The sauce was blended nicely but definitely lacking in flavor. The vegetable balls were good and worked well with the Saag.

All and all on a scale from 1-10... I give this place a 5... maybe 6. I will go back to review a simple Tikka masala and review them again. However, first impressions are...

Clean and inviting restaurant Clean bathrooms Friendly staff

We have a regular place close to us in Fort Thomas that we enjoy but this restaurant has richer and just a bit better flavor. We ordered chicken curry, a new one I can't remember the name of but it had raisins and nuts and the. We got the garlic naan bread and the bhaturra bread... It was all amazing. We normally get Tikka Masala and we love it but it was nice to try the new dish... very flavorful but now we are excited to come back and try their tikka masala and see how it rates against our local place.

We came here after running to kings island and riding a few coasters.... and this was the perfect lunch. The staff was friendly, helpful and at the end of the meal they brought us out a little dessert- a mango cake ball in rice pudding. I am so picky and stick to my regulars most often but I enjoyed this sweet little treat. What a great touch!

There was only one down side and that's the ice was freezer burned.. not worth knocking a star down but the soda was no good... with spicy Indian I neeeed my Diet Coke. Hope as a new restaurant this was a fluke :)... the food was amazing so we will be back to find out!

The garlic naan bread was out of this world as was the curry. I order these two at any Indian restaurant I visit and this restaurant was definitely a step above in quality, flavor and creaminess.

Love the flakiness of the bhaturra bread but if you are going with just one then I would go with the...

It was absolutely empty on a Saturday. Apart from us, there were only one other family, and they left even before our waters arrived. Apart from 2 other take out orders, no one else walked in. It was a little disarming to see no one especially on a weekend night. We ordered mango lassi and samosas first. The samosas were good. Tasty, crispy on the outside, not too much filling, just perfect and not too oily. They got some chutneys to the table and they were good too. We ordered some fries for the kids and they were okay-ish. Nothing too special. For the main course we ordered some Shahi Paneer and Baingan Bhartha along with some plain naan and Kashmiri naan. The Kashmiri naan was too sweet and the saunf in it took the taste away from the other tastes. The taste of saunf was too over powering to taste anything else. The shahi paneer was too sweet (thought it might be our fault as we ordered it mild). The paneer was grated into the gravy which we weren’t expecting but combined with the kashmiri naan it wasn’t that great. It tasted good with the plain naan. The bhaingan bhartha was more of peas bhartha than bhaingan which was disappointing. But the bhartha itself tasted really good. The staff were warm and welcoming.
