McDonald's — Restaurant in Mattoon

This McDonald's is in need of major help. Building roof leaks anytime it rains there's buckets everywhere through the walkway. The only reason we stop there is the convince of location on our trip. Today we stopped in at 7:15am. Both my husband and I ordered steak egg and cheese bagels, his he got an extra egg, I requested light butter extra onion. There were only two employees when we walked in, two more came in as we did. Empoyee who appeared to be manager asked the girl to take our order, she walked up to counter putting on her apron, then took our order. The young man who came in with her was the one who prepared our food he did everything right except they had no onions, so he just didn't put any on either one. When I received my food I opened both bagels and let the counter girl know there were on onions. His comment was there's not any cooked. I understand places not having enough coverage however they open at 5:30am, to not have the proper items ready over an hour after opening and to just try and send the food out incorrectly is inexcusable. I watched him send out two other bagels through the drive thru with no onions as well. People are aggravated how prices are increasing on everything. To spend $20 on breakfast is frustrating enough, but for them to deliberately send orders out wrong is uncalled for.

Dissatisfied...

On a road trip and we stopped at the McDonald's. Okay, this was the BEST ever! Everything was made fresh and the big mac was the best big mac I have ever had in life. Everything looked like what it looks like in ads, but even better is that it tasted perfect! The special sauce was authentic abd had actual veggies or peppers. It was tangy with a bit of a kick. The beef was cooked perfectly and seasoned. It tasted like very good beef that you would expect from a nice restaurant. It was amazing. After driving for fourteen hours, i just needed food but this was just wonderful and perfect across the board. Honestly, I have not gone to another one an hour away because i do not want to be disappointed. Lol if you are in this area, GO here! Drive out there and go. It is totally worth it. This is what it is supposed to taste like. 🥰🥰🥰 the service was wonderful. Everyone was kind and professional and polite. It is a solitary gem in the lovely countryside. It made our day and trip. What a lovely surprise! This is no regular McDonald's. I have told everyone to go there... even if it is nearly an hour out. Legendary ... thank you for the awesome...

Bad attention. Today 03/10/22 we were attended by a young woman with braids, that's how I describe her because I couldn't see her name, so if someone reads this TODAY before going they can identify her. He had a very bad attitude when taking the order, it seems that one does not pay. We ordered 2 double quarter pound combos and a Spicy Chicken Mac and he charged us over $22.00. My mother in law who is a senior asked her if they were combos and she said they were just sandwiches which surprised us because the prices for the combos were a little over $10 so they matched what was being charged but what she did was canceled the order, made a return and took the order again charging us more than $33. My mother-in-law assumed that the amount was because now "they were combos" and what she did was charge us the same thing that we had ordered before, she added small potatoes and a BicMac combo that we did not order and that is why that amount came out. My mother-in-law didn't want to complain anymore because even the store manager has an ugly face. In the end I went to ask for a bag to take what we hadn't ordered and yet we paid and when the young woman saw me she addressed me with a defiant attitude as if to say: and now what else are you going to want. It was really awkward. It was not only his oral response and easy expression, but also his body language. Please McDonald's administrators, hire to people who really want to work, provide training on how to deal with customers but not those people who in their desperation have to hire. Apart from the fact that the quality of the product has dropped too much, the attention is getting worse and worse. It is not the first time that we have been treated badly in that place. 👎😠

Mala atencion. Hoy 10/03/22 nos atendió una joven con trenzas, así la describo porque no pude ver su nombre, así que si alguien lee esto HOY antes de ir la puede identificar. Tuvo muy mala actitud al tomar el pedido, parece que uno no paga. Pedimos 2 combos dobles de un cuarto de libra y un Spicy Chicken Mac y nos cobró más de $22.00. Mi suegra que es senior le preguntó si eran combos y ella dijo que solo eran sándwiches lo cual nos sorprendió porque los precios de los combos eran un poco más de $10 entonces igualaban lo que se cobraba pero lo que hizo fue cancelar el pedido , hizo una devolución y volvió a tomar el pedido cobrándonos más de $33. Mi suegra asumió que el monto era porque ahora “eran combos” y lo que hizo fue cobrarnos lo mismo que habíamos pedido antes, le agregó papas chiquitas y un combo BicMac que no pedimos y ya está por qué salió esa cantidad. Mi suegra no quiso quejarse más porque hasta el gerente de la tienda tiene una cara fea. Al final fui a pedir una bolsa para llevar lo que no habíamos pedido y sin embargo pagamos y cuando la joven me vio se dirigió a mí con una actitud desafiante como diciendo: y ahora que más vas a querer . Fue realmente incómodo. No era solo su respuesta oral y expresión fácil, sino también su lenguaje corporal. Señores administradores de McDonald's, respondan a las personas que realmente quieren trabajar, brinden capacitación sobre cómo tratar con los clientes pero no aquellas personas que en su desesperación tienen que contratar. Aparte de que ha bajado demasiado la calidad del producto, la atención cada vez es peor. No es la primera vez que nos tratan mal en...
