Monical's Pizza — Restaurant in Mattoon

Right off the bat there was a waiting for table. A 30 minute wait. There is no problem for that. We were willing to wait. But then all hell broke lose. We told them people that there were 8 and we'd like to sit together. Do what do they do they give us two booths next to each other but not one table. There was another that seated 10 n they said that it is reserved for another party that has been waiting an hour. Y the hell u going to give us two booths when that take was open. Then the server came took our order everything was good until she brought our salad. Do they give us two booths obviously you would think they would give each table their own dressings for salad. Well u guessed wrong. Between our two booths we had to pass the dressings back and forth whenever someone wanted it. Very very inconvenient. Damn this place worst experience ever. After waiting another 15 minutes for the pizza or server comes to us and says that they accidently burnt the edges of the pizza. We can remake it or you can have this one. After she brought it out to show me how it actually looked you wouldn't be able to tell a difference between the pizza or a charcoal. And how they can manage to burn ALL 3 of my pizza's i wonder. So now we are waiting until the next round see what that has in store for us. After burning the pizza the waitress has the never to come and ask me if this pizza is OK or would you like me to make a new. I ate my personal pizza and my family had to wait another 15 minutes until they made the pizza. By that time my 8 month old baby was getting cranky and because of the burnt smell I had to get my child out of there. After I left I really don't know what happened. BUT one thing is for sure that I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THAT...

We called 2 hours before stating we would have a large party & asked if we could reserve a large table, we were told "we are Monical's we don't take reservations, but you won't have problem getting a table!" We get there with our party & 2 of our members are disabled and we were told "go back out to your cars it will be a about a 25 min wait, we don't have a table available! We will text you" Now this don't make ANY SENSE at all! This could have been totally avoided 2 hours prior if they would of held the table! When I come back home for a visit, this will be the Last place I will dine at! Waited a hour for delivery which I didn't mind. I ordered a half sub that was supposed to come with a side salad which they forgot it that meal was for my boyfriend because he has been working hard all week at work I wanted to surprise him but it's okay. I still got my pizza, Pepsi, other side salad and mtn dew. Delivery driver was nice . I don't like them wrapping the hot food in foil then putting it in a brown bag I burned my hand a little bit when the delivery driver gave it to me, but I still enjoyed the food just don't reccomend delivery unless u want to wait awhile.
