Went here a couple week old ago and walked through the Christmas lights with the wife, daughter and greatkids and had a great time! I had no idea the walk through was so popular. There were sooo many people there. It was unbelievable. We started off by getting some warm cinnamon pecans and almonds and would've gotten hot chocolate too but, the line was too long.(we should've brought our own) The kids got to see, talk to and get pics with Santa. With stopping at the nut vendor, taking pics, talking and looking at the lights, it was maybe thirty minutes to get through it. I'm really glad we went. We had fun!

An evening in Mattoon was made better with a trip through the park. The light displays were beautiful, fun, and so creative. The amount of time and energy devoted to making it memorable for others is very appreciated. I loved the music accompanying the drive as well. Well done Mattoon!

2.1 miles from highway 57. Kids are 4 & 7 and this place was great for both of them. Nice paved walk around but you have walk though some grass to get to it. It had just rained and was wet and muddy. Play area was fine. Glad we stopped for kids to play for bit on long drive

Great place for lots of fun doing various activities. There is a playground area for the kids, big and small. There is also a mini golf course that is great for birthdays. There is a large covered Pavillion for larger gatherings of friends and family. Every July, usually in the middle of the month, The Mattoon BagelFest comes to town with a wide variety of vendors with food and memorable knick nacks. There are plenty of carnival rides mostly kid oriented, but some are for the big kid...

I stopped here to eat lunch and found a nice quiet shaded area with a picnic table. There were quite a few tables available and well spaced out. The park was quiet with minimal foot or car traffic. The park was clean and I was able to find nearby trash cans that had been well maintained.

There was a nice play area on the other side for kids of all ages. I’ll definitely return here for a morning walk, to eat lunch again or take my little guy to play at the playground. It was...
