While visiting Maui, I had a chance to stop by Alba’s truck on my way back from the farmer’s market. I love Cuban food and Cuban coffee so I had to give this a try and ordered a colada. I’ll start by saying I’ve spent time in both Miami and Havana, Cuba where I’ve had a chance to sample some outstanding Cuban coffee and Alba’s is as good or better than the best ones I’ve had Havana.

The coffee is smooth without a bitter or harsh aftertaste and has just the right amount of sugar and sweetness that you would want in cafecito or colada. I am from Miami, Florida and currently on a 10 day trip in Hawaii with my girlfriend. A couple of days ago, we both had the surprise and pleasure of being able to enjoy Cuban coffee at Alba’s. As a lifelong Miami local, I can vouch for the owner Christina’s coffee and tell you that her coffee is more than on par with the Cuban coffee in Miami - even better because of the homemade touch with this particular coffee, as well as Christina’s warm and friendly service.
