This is a great spot in Mayaguez in front of the beach!
Is an open air restaurant with an amazing view of the ocean. Place was busy when we arrive and took a bit for them to come to our tablet, but understandable based on how full it was. Waitress quickly took our orders, they have a new menu of drinks which she wasn't familiar with, best to take a picture of it to show it if you want a drink from that menu.
They have a good selection of food ranging from pizza to steak so variety is good overall and everyone should find something they like.
For drink I did order a piña colada, it really hit the spoy after a long day, a bit soft on the alcohol level but good overall.
For appetizers we order their mini piononos, taste was good but they were a bit overcook and hard to bite into from how crunchy it was.
The main plates were excellent though. I order the churrasaco, which sadly I was never ask how I wanted it and it came well done (I rather it was medium) still taste great and even well done retain the juice and easy to cut and bite. It was done using carbon giving it a nice different flavor from the usual too. It was serve with arroz mamposteado it had the texture just right and great taste.
The other plate we order was the ribs with batatas fritas. The ribs were really good, the meat came out of it easily and was tender with a touch of honey. Their batatas fritas were in point, cook well but still retain their softnest with just a touch of crunch.
Really great place to go with great view and...
Read moreStopped here because the restaurant we were going to down the street was closed. I'm so happy it turned out that way because this place was fantastic. You can never go wrong sitting steps away from the water and the tables and picnic tables were comfortable and gave a nice, chill vibe. Service was terrific. Had mojitos and Sangria and both were made very well. The Papa Playeras with chicken and beef appetizer was more than enough for a meal and it tasted amazing. Plus, the curly fries were homemade, so even better. I had Pavochon (so tender it melted in my mouth) and my husband had the fish of the day, which I believe was Snapper. His came with some kind of sauce on the side that had thin strips of pepper and onion in the bottom and it tasted amazing on both of our meals. This has became my favorite restaurant in Puerto Rico so far. We will most...
Read moreAm from New York and I was on vacation and decided to give this place a try. I was kind of uncomfortable to eat in this place due to the negative recent reviews I have read. I will say the servers were very slow and not paying attention to our table. Place was not even full. I order fried pork, pork was dry as hell and it was over cook and for sure they use old fried oil. Then my wife order chicharrones de pollo, and her chicken was also over cook and it fell like this chicken was not even fresh. Edges of the chicken was dry and hard. I will not recommend this place for the tourists. For sure local people know about this place because I didn’t even seen none of them eating. Just tourist. Mojitos, they use juices from supermarkets and it’s not even nature fruits, and...
