Hacienda Latina — Restaurant in Mayagüez

The woman who tried to wait our table was charming and overworked. This was not helped by the older man who circled our table consistently without bringing us the one thing that we asked him to bring. Instead, he literally sneered at us. Okay, no water from him! They did not have ingredients for the salad that I ordered, though it was printed on the menu, not special. So, I got a Ceasar without meat, all of their Ceasars come with meat. It was the least interesting salad I have had since my college cafeteria days. The croutons looked like they came from a generic box. The rest was over chopped and often brown lettuce in an unidentifiable dressing. My husband's fish dish smelled like it had been left too long in the outdoors. Not pleasant. The fried Manchego appetizer was okay, though would have been better if served with the guava sauce that they very lightly decorated the plate with rather than the mayo ketchup that was brought. Visited for 1st time Hacienda Latina this past Sunday with my husband. Highly recommend 💯!!! Nice atmosphere, nice place to go with family, friends or have lunch brunch meeting, very clean. Excellent service, the Waiter very proper, attentive and suggested various options from menu, which was great. The Mojito drinks and Sangria were on point😍 recommend them! The food at the restaurant was excellent, many options, everything we ate was correctly seasoned great tasting and well cooked. We had kan kan chop and churrasco steak both with mamposteao rice mmmm delicious. Owner was very nice, attentive and respectful

Would have liked to try that days menu. They had lobster. Unfortunately, I had the bacon wrap shrimp with a white sauce and smashed viandas. Also shrimp with mofongo. Would recommend a look at the kitchens recipe to see why it changed. Told the waitress but I guess they couldnt change the plate. She asked if we wanted desert but I didn’t need another charged disappointment. Went because of a good recommendation 3 months ago. Hope your shrimp isn’t over cooked,...
