McDonald's — Restaurant in Mayagüez

I've had multiple bad experiences with this specific McDonald's. This is one of the worst McDonald's in the area, and here's why. There have been multiple instances where we went to order inside the restaurant itself and we were kept waiting for… half an hour, forty five minutes, around that amount of time. The most recent time this has happened to me was just yesterday night. We got there at about 9:00 pm, and the restaurant was nearly empty. So naturally, that must mean we can order our food quicker, right? Hahaha, WRONG. The drive thru was jam packed, and they were only paying attention to the drive thru. The drive thru is their priority, and we were waiting for forty five minutes to even get a chance to order… and this is supposed to be a "fast food" place. Not to mention the employees are incompetent, they just looked at each other like idiots. It took longer for us to be able to order than it took for Cuphead to release. When we FINALLY got the chance to order, the cashier was so nervous she couldn't even get our order right. They gave us four bags of chicken nuggets, cold fries, and we spent around twenty eight bucks. The cashier was alone and there were multiple managers behind her and nobody did anything, they just paid attention to the drive thru. That poor kid was shaking. I'll never go there again. This McDonald’s was my go to spot during my college years, and it still holds a special place in my heart. Whether it was grabbing a quick breakfast before class, a late-night snack after studying, or just hanging out with friends, this location always delivered. The service here is consistently excellent staff members are friendly, efficient, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant experience. Orders are accurate, wait times are minimal even during busy hours, and the dining area is always clean and well-maintained.

The atmosphere is surprisingly welcoming for a fast-food restaurant. It’s bright, upbeat, and always buzzing with activity. There’s something about seeing it full of people at all hours of the day it speaks volumes about the quality and reliability of this particular location. Seeing that the drive thru line was out of the parking lot I decided to go in to order. HUGH MISTAKE!!!! After standing in line for 45 minutes decided to go back and use the drive thru. I was done and gone before the person that was in front of me in line got to the counter to order. Moral of the story.....don't go in. Obviously they only know how to handle drive thru not customer counter. I mentioned to the employee at the food pick up window that the coworker at the counter needed help and he became indignant, made faces and acted like she had it handled.
