It's mostly closed for the foreseeable future until they can fix the earthquake damage to the building but they have one exhibit open if you ask to see it. The museum attendant was kind enough to let us in and personally walk us around, answering questions and explaining what we were seeing. The building itself and the surrounding campus are gorgeous, too. Looking forward to visiting when it reopens in full. The museum and limited parking for it are tucked away in the middle of campus and are easy to miss, so just trust your GPS and it'll get you there.

Everyone here is welcoming and kind. The bldg is very airy with interesting spaces. Theres a mix of old school displays and cutting edge technology. The gift shop has nice choices, I would love to see it expanded! I went to see a show thats closing next week. I think the next show starts in Sept 2023.

MUSA en la UPR, Recinto de Mayaguez es un lugar especial, un edificio hermoso, jardines, aves y un personal atento y amable. La exhibición Flora Borinqueña tres siglos de ilustraciones botánicas es una maravilla. De igual modo lo es Intimidad Floral de José R. Almodóvar Rivera quien nos comparte una selección de imágenes que Forman parte de la botánica de Puerto Rico. Ambas exposiciones estarán abiertas al público hasta julio 2023. No se la pierdan!
