A&B BBQ — Restaurant in Mayfield

Tasty BBQ for sure. But what a surprise for me. I called to order 2 pounds of BBQ to go (I had seen on social media that they tend to run out). The young lady asked if I wanted hot or mild, we like both at my house, so I said "one of each please". Her next question was do you want the 50 cent or $1 size? WHAT? you charge for the sauce? Not being very familiar with this establishment, I cautiously ordered the 50 cent version. A short time later we arrived to pick up our order. First my poor husband parked in their "drive thru"... [if you are reading this, I hope it becomes a clearly defined drive thru soon]. We waited at least 10 minutes for our order (in what did not appear to be an overly busy time). Our BBQ itself was top notch (but 2 pounds did not visibly appear to be much), my BBQ sauces were also delicious but 2 different size containers so I've no idea if I recieved what I paid for and my coleslaw seemed as if it were store bought and scooped into a new container. I would but the BBQ again, it was good, but it won't be my first choice due to the customer experience, i like to be made welcome and feel like my decision to spend my $$ should be desired, not a task to check...

Excellent!!! As a barbecue lover, I can say that this place is great. Fast, friendly service, even though I showed up for dine-in only 18 minutes until closing. I had the barbecue plate, 2 sides, potato salad, baked beans, because that's what you are supposed to eat with pulled pork. Loved everything. I told them before I left that I know where I will be eating any time I am in Mayfield. The fact that their specials were all sold out tells me the locals feel the same. I will be looking forward to trying some of their other menu items. Hoping to try the chicken next time. P.S. I walked 1.7 miles to get this food in the mid-July heat and humidity and still had to walk the same distance, mostly uphill, back to my truck. STILL...

My husband and I intended to order two BBQ chimichangas and two Mac bombs. I was expecting the Mac bombs to be a side item. The woman at the counter informed us that the Mac bombs are very large portions so we only ordered one. I was impressed with her integrity instead of just taking our money. The portions were very large. The chimichangas we're stuffed with much more meat than I anticipated. I was very impressed. The Mac bomb was a huge serving. It had the ideal amount of meat for me, but I could see someone else complaining of not having enough. The pork wasn't fatty. It was quality and delicious. I will be back, probably next time...
