We love Evviva! Scratch kitchen, family recipes, generous parking and portions - it’s the full package. For lunch the Bento Box is not to be missed. What a deal for $18! Mozzarella made fresh and pasta imported from Italy. I think what I love the most is that there are plenty of lighter dishes- the chicken parm and lasagna are great- but if you don’t want to go heavy there’s lots of vegan and fish options too. Plus, most of the menu they can do gluten-free…amazing for Italian! I’ll definitely be back!

Stopped in here for a weeknight dinner and it was what I would expect from a chain like Evviva; decent portion sizes, reliably good tasting dishes, hit or miss service. For most items on the menu the prices are way too high for what you’re getting. My partner got the seafood risotto with the smallest scallops I have ever seen. We also were never asked whether we wanted small or large portions (of food or the drinks) and were surprised to see our server decided on the larger size of everything for us.

I’ve been here many times since they opened, today 8/8 was not a good experience. First I’ll start with the positives- Not crowded, we were sat right away. Bartender Sarah is great and the food is good/ consistent.

The not so great- there were maybe three other parties inside and one outside. During our visit the bar became a bit busy and since Sarah was our server as well as the bartender our table was somewhat ignored for the remainder of our time. The other waitress who was tending to one table had to have passed our table at least a dozen times and ignored the stack of plates from our appetizers. From working in the hospitality field I was always taught to help your coworker out.

The kicker was the manager on duty…..terrible! He spent more time talking when he could have used the opportunity to help clear tables or bring food that was sitting on the kitchen service bar to customers. We literally sat for 15 minutes with empty plates, glasses etc. I made eye contact with him finally and he must have realized I was getting annoyed. He strolled over and asked if our waitress was getting us a dessert menu. We said no thanks, we are all set. He proceeds to walk back and talk *hit about us to the other workers saying I was rolling my eyes and complaining. Damn straight I was, yet instead of inquiring if everything was ok he chose to act unprofessional.

Hugely inappropriate! A good manager would be interacting, ensuring his staff was tending to the customers and in the event the servers are busy, the manager should be stepping in and setting a good example. $105 before tip for two at lunch isn’t cheap, I can overlook sub par service when it’s slammed, but it wasn’t today. What I can’t overlook is a manager that is so oblivious to the needs of the customers and his staff, nor a manager that feels that it’s not ok to talk negatively about the customer within earshot and doing so to staff under him.

So terribly disappointed , I can tell you that we will...

UPDATE: The last two times we've ordered takeout here, the lead time for pickup was incredibly long (1hr+ for two pizzas and an app?!), and then when I arrived at the scheduled time, the food was still not ready and I was made to wait an additional 20+ minutes (they clearly hadn't even started making the food when I arrived). It's a shame because the food is always very good, but I won't be coming back here for a while. The Marlborough location is much better-managed.

ORIGINAL REVIEW (4 Stars): A relaxed, casual setting for some very good Italian food, particularly their pizzas--including some pretty creative specialty options like a shrimp scampi pizza, a brussels sprouts pizza, the Farmhouse (a bbq chicken pizza, but using a balsamic-based bbq sauce, with braised leeks and a house-made honey mustard drizzled on top) and the Patata (basically a baked potato, with all the fixings, in pizza form). My personal favorite is the Polpette, with meatballs, ricotta and a pesto drizzle.

They also have a variety of delicious pasta dishes, as well as salads, sandwiches, and some pretty excellent appetizer offerings, including fried calamari, meatballs, sausage arancini, and a generous antipasti plate of meats, cheeses, and accoutrements.

For a chain (albeit a small, local one), the quality is still very good, and the robust menu means everyone leaves happy. A great addition to the Maynard/Sudbury area, and we'll...

service was okay but the kitchen did not have their back, probably the most poorly prepared and overpriced Italian food I've ever had in my life. first thing we thought when it hit the table was this looks like something you'd get at the low budget Disney restaurants. cafeteria food with great glamor shots on the menu, but what you get does not compare to what is described. $22.50 for three meatballs and a bowl of spaghetti, doesn't come with bread or anything, wasn't even a big portion, will never go back. once the waiter sense that we weren't crazy about anything he didn't come back, manager came over and took the soup and the bread off the bill without us even asking because he even saw that it sucked. gave them a shot, I was hoping it would be good, but it disappointed tremendously. I actually predict that that location will close if it doesn't fix the problems, at 7:00 on a Saturday night there was only two other couples in the whole place. that's not a recipe for...
