I will keep this brief: The "tacos" aren't really tacos....they are just mini burritos cut in half and called "tacos", with much more soft tortilla than needed or would be used for a real taco. They also do not offer "hard shell tacos"....now i know why! Can't make a burrito and then cut in half with a hard shell. An order of "Large chips" is MASSIVE chips...same size as the massive bags of chips one gets at the grocery store. The order of a side of guac for the chips is not at all proportional to the size of the chips you get. MASSIVE chips....TINY guac.
Response to the owner's response: Point is...they are not conventional tacos! Just say tell people they are what they are....burritos. Repeatedly calling a cow a pig, doesn't make it a pig. Again, call it what it is....describing the actually MASSIVE chips as "Large" is not fair to customers who, based on experience at virtually every other Mexican restaurant, expect a very different quantity of chips with the "large" version. Just check out your competition.
I guess....the theme is: just be honest with what you are selling. The food is good!! Just be honest about what it is and how you...
Read moreI was very excited to try this new chain of restaurants in the Acton and Maynard area. Specifically Maynard location is brand new and I was impressed with the variety of flavors and menu items they have. Ordered chickpeas and red curry burrito bowl with a side of chips and queso. Restaurant, Staff and ambiance seemed amazing until we tasted the food and very disappointed with the level of salt they had in chips, queso, guacamole, and rice bowl. The chips and queso were 3$ each but queso came in a super small plastic cup and was way too salty. Chips were not crispy at all. And the chickpea red curry rice bowl with guacamole was again salty and had a funky taste was nothing like Mexican/Thai/Indian but just confusing taste. Maybe it’s me didn’t like the taste and I would love to try different dishes next time. However, I recommend them to be careful with salt as it’s not healthy either. As mentioned staff were really friendly and the place is super clean.
Update: Changed the review to 5 star as the owner responded to my feedback and welcomed...
Read moreSurprised they opened another location nearby, hate to say it but they really haven’t made improvements to the food. My partner and I feel very ripped off after eating there recently and probably won’t come back for a long time. I don’t mind that it’s on the bland side compared to other burritos but my problem is I order my favorite bbq pulled pork and everytime the pork comes out burnt it’s a gross taste. I always get cilantro and the recent times I’ve had it , the texture was awful it’s like the greens had crystals all over it they need to wash the cilantro better and get the pesticides off! Grilled Jalapeños had no spice at all to them. I’ve had better food at the Acton location, they should have never opened up a second location because this one is terrible. If you want a better burrito go to Sante Fe or Oscars. I’m sure they resent them as competition knowing they make a way better, flavorful burrito. Also the manager is rude and kind of a tool, thinks he all macho and...
