We were extremely disappointed in our experience here at 110 Grill. I had never visited this location before but had been to a different location previously as we require gluten-free and the food and service were wonderful at the NH location we visited. Our recent visit to this location was another story. We arrived for an early dinner and started off with a couple of appetizers we had never tried before, one of them being the spinach and artichoke dip which it said came with chips, toasted gluten-free bread, and cucumber slices. Ours arrived with no bread, and chips so salty you couldn't even eat them and the dip was cold. You could actually see huge clumps of salt on the chips it was awful. Our server was a nice kid but never came back to check on us except for taking our order and bringing out food, so sitting there with dip we couldn't eat for about 15 minutes I flagged someone else down. Entrees came and the shrimp scampi arrives. $24 dollars for absolutely demolished pasta, and 5 little overcooked pieces of rubber shrimp. The pasta was so overcooked it was falling apart into bits and the bread it was supposed to come with was just a hamburger bun toasted with butter. I have been gluten-free for 15 years and had gluten-free pasta at other 110 locations and the only time you have GF pasta that bad is when someone doesn't know how to cook it. I was so disappointed and don't recommend this location. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the dessert was good and the kid that waited on us seemed like a nice kid, but clearly his priorities were elsewhere. I am not sure if he was doing side work in the back or just hasn't been properly trained in checking on customers. I would have said something more while we were there, but since the response to us sending the artichoke dip back was " Well we all have different tastes I guess", I didn't feel like thoughts about the entrees would be well received. I didn't know anyone had a taste for pure salt, cold dip, and no bread that it's supposed to come with.
This is a place that boasted about its dedication to allergens and great food, I expected better. For the price, there are much better options available...
Read moreOn April 5 we were first-time diners at 110 Grill at 4:30. We are easy to please, and since I've waited tables, I know how hard it can be and I am understanding. We are generous tippers. When we arrived the restaurant was quiet, with only a few people at the bar and in one booth. Our waiter was a young man. He was unfriendly, unsmiling, and disinterested. We had barely gotten our coats off, and he asked for a drink order. I asked him for a minute so I could look at the drink menu, and when he came back, I ordered a glass of wine. He turned and left, never asking my husband what he might want. When our waiter returned with my wine, my husband asked him for a glass of prosecco; our waiter returned with the split, opened it, plunked it down without pouring it, and left the cork and wrapper on the table. My husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich and asked if he could have a half salad as his one side (one side was included). (A half salad is similar to the price of the sides.) Our waiter said yes; we asked him twice to make sure. We waited about a half hour for our food, which was odd since the place was so quiet, and not once did our waiter check on us. The food came - - my husband's half salad was in a small bowl on his plate, with the sandwich, just like a side would be. It did not come in advance of dinner. We were not asked if we wanted to see what was for dessert so we asked for the bill. We were charged $24.50 (!) for a pulled pork sandwich that on the menu was $16.50. Our waiter had disappeared so we politely asked the hostess about the charge, and she said we were charged extra for the half salad, even though my husband did not get his included side. Our waiter shouldn't have told us that the half salad could be a side; if he had, my husband likely would have ordered it anyway, with an additional included side. We are not nit-picking, but we expect decent service when our check was more than $80. This waiter clearly doesn't like waiting tables, or else he was having a bad day, was new at the job, wasn't trained, or didn't want to work a Saturday night. We...
Read moreWe had a dinner there on February 2nd with my friend . Our server was Arthur. Other than water on the table he did not bring anything for half an hour, did not ask for our order. He finally brought some bread, ran away so we tried to flag him to place orders. He did not know anything about the menu, and when my friend asked fir recommendation between a few fish dishes he said " do you eat fish? So you can just eat it" it took again very long time after we finished that he came and asked if we wanted boxes. Did not ask if we wanted dessert. When we told him we wanted to know about desserts he said he did not know he just came back from vacation last week. Finally he managed to get a dessert menu( only one) we ordered, it took 25 min to get it then he did not come back with the bill ( ater we asked) for 40 min We tried to wave desparately many times as we were supposed to leave to an event. He walked by without looking at us. This is not the first time having problems We were here for Fathers' Day and also on January 17 with lady friends. Service was slow, soups and meals were cold but we were afraid to send them back because we knew it would take forever. We are busy local professionals from Acton and will stop...
