Went last night for what was supposed to be my birthday dinner. There were 5 adults and my 3 kids. They told us it would be a 35 minute wait to which we said ok. An hour goes by and nobody has come to seat us. One girl feels terrible and says why don’t we sit you guys at the bar and the kids can have a small table behind you. To which we say ok. We sit down and the bartender was horrible. She told us we can’t do that because she can’t split tabs between bar seats and tables (if this true reach out to me I can set you up with a custom pos system that can). So we say why not ring them up and I will hand you my card for them. She refused. So then the next issue is the bartender said she will refuse to serve us because the kids are sitting alone. My kids are not 5 and I can turn around and touch them. So we said ok and sent and adult to sit with them. Another half hour has gone by at this point and the bartender still refused to take an order so we had to leave because we had somewhere else we needed to be soon. We ask for the tab and say we are leaving. We said we were very disappointed with how everything was handled. We did not ask to sit in the bar. The servers were all very apologetic because they knew how long we had waited and seated us there. The bartender decided to get smart with us and said yeah well I won’t serve you when you leave open beer bottles at a kids table with nobody there which NEVER happened. She was the rudest person I have ever met and caused a huge scene over nothing. I see some other complaints on here. Seems like it might be time for her to go if she cannot be a decent human....
Read moreThis place is absolutely amazing. The staff and the food were both an honest 5 stars. My family had a funeral and we were looking for a place to go after to have some good food and good conversation. I wasn't sure how many of us there were going to be but it ranged from 10-40. I called a few places a couple days ahead and (understandably) got a lot of unsure answers, which was fine I get it. When I called Billy's I spoke to a very nice and helpful young lady who put me on the phone with the owner. His response was sure we'll take you. Come on in and we'll figure it out when the time comes. We didn't end up having 40 but the 20 of us that did go had an amazing time! The waitress was absolutely wonderful! She brought drinks even before we could ask! She was never once flustered or annoyed with us nor did she even break a sweat! Our food was delicious and came in such a timely manner! The atmosphere was great too. In such a hard sad time this place was exactly what my family needed and I'm so happy we ended up there! I can't thank these people enough or say enough nice things. They will never know how much my family needed that day. Everything was perfect! This place has sooo many new regulars after this visit! Thank you Billy's Roadhouse for everything you did for my family!! We can't wait to...
Read moreWe have visited Billy's a number of times a month for the past few years, and recently we noticed a couple changes in service. We have never seen anyone carded in this establishment, plus people continue to be served well past the point of serious inebriation. Our last visit, and possibly our last visit ever, we (my wife and I) were closing out, when someone who was too drunk to walk spilled a beer down the back of my wife's jacket. A couple (3) guests (friends of the bartender) witnessed it, and started laughing uncontrollably, probably because of how inebriated they may have been. They proceeded with comments encouraging us to pick a fight with the gentleman who spilled the beer.
It became obvious to us that the staff is more interested in making sure their friends drink long and hard, than taking care of the other guests.
First time I have ever been concerned for my safety in Wexford... I'm sure everyone in the establishment that day were good people, however I feel some of the patrons were being served far past the point of resonable tolerance.
We will most likely try Billy's again in a few months to see if adjustments are made for the better, or to see if it continues to become a rougher...
