First time here. Found out about it from someone on YouTube. I visited on a Saturday. The place was pretty busy. I sat at the counter. There was one person on the grill, a younger lady waiting tables along with an older lady. The 3 were holding it down pretty well. I was told by the guy on YouTube to try the L-PO (ell - pO). Its a smash of homefries, green peppers, hot sausage and egg. It was served with a side of Italian toast. I also got a cup of coffee. I understand how others have left reviews about the service, but if you go into it with the expectation that customer service is not a focus, you'll leave feeling okay. They didn't ignore anyone; they simply were not as attentive to you as some other places may be. The food was okay. The potatoes were well cooked, but lacking salt (maybe some people enjoy controlling their salt intake, but they were lacking flavor). If you're looking for breakfast for the sake of having some breakfast, give them a try. Having sat at the counter, I was able to see many things prepared. Their burgers are frozen, their steak is frozen like Steak-Ums. They cook everything on the same grill, so be cautious about about ordering sweet things - they probably will taste like the savory items on the grill. I was going to order french toast as that is often my breakfast jam, but after seeing this, I am glad I did not. If someone asked me to come to breakfast with them here, I would come back, but my expectations would be lower. It's a shame because this place could be so much more with just some...
Read moreIf I could give this place a zero star I would. My husband and I have both worked in the restaurants for years. I have never seen anything like it before. We sat at the counter and was watching the cook and waitresses the whole time. It was disgusting! The cook would grab raw meat with her bare hands and never once washed her hands just kept wiping it on the same dirty towel. Then she would go to the register and cash out people, touching money, and credit cards and go back to cooking. WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS!! the waitresses would touch money then go and grab bread with there bare hands. One waitresses touched an egg on somebody's plate after touching money to see if It was still hot. We were so disgusted that at that point we couldn't eat our food. Im a cook in a restaurant and I have never seen anything like that before. The amount of cross contamination the we saw in the half hour we were there . The health department would of shut them down immediately. We will never return or recommend this place to anyone please be aware of what you are getting...
Read moreWent in on Father’s Day with family. Food was good, I loved the hot sausage. Will give 3 stars for the food but Service?! Very sub-standard. The woman who attended/waited us was SUPER rude in a very diplomatic way as if you can’t even sense it. No coffee refills, no show when asked for a ketchup, and the final straw was when I asked for clarification and breakdown on the check they ran up to $40 (when it was supposed to be $28 and change) she handed me the menu and asked me to add up the items we ordered. It turned out they had overcharged us for 4 coffees instead of one and also the itemized list of charges were not accurate. They want to blame it on busyness. Typically I am a loyal customer to any brand, restaurant or service I try/use. And this one, I’m not going again. You might not care Dear Chub’s owners, but every customer counts. Once you lose a customer, you lose them for lifetime. Good luck! Improve your customer service if you can and don’t run up the check how much ever busy...
