Me and my best friend found out about this place on tiktok and the dishes looked phenomenal, so we drove an hour to try it and it was beyond what we were expecting! We walk in and we were greeted by Calvin, who shown our hands and introduced himself, he was very attentive the whole time, we were in there a little over an hour and him and his employees were constantly checking on us the whole time. The kiosk was very easy to order food on with pictures of each item to make things simple We started off with the chicken satay/peanut sauce and crab for appetizers, shortly after we got them it didn't take long for all our food to come out. The chicken satay was the most tender melt in your mouth version of this I have ever tasted and the Rangoons were so big and full and really hot the spot. I ordered the braised pork belly with white rice and my friend got the candied pecan chicken with fried rice. Keeping on them with the chicken appetizer the pork belly melted in my mouth with the perfect texture surrounded by thick sauce that stuck to each bite. My friend's pecan chicken had a crispy outer layer hiding a surprisingly juicy center of meat, Calvin even gave her extra sauce that she requested on the house. We both split the Yoyo stir fried udon noodles with beef/chicken/shrimp(this was the first dish I was certain of ordering), the bigger noodles was a nice change up from what we are used to. I decided to get two beverages the strawberry matcha latte and the watermelon coco frosties, they were both milky drinks, the matcha was as great as I expected and the watermelon drink was surprisingly refreshing despite the dairy and was my favorite among the two. For desert we both got a caramelcreme brulee, it was our first time trying it, the solid texture on top covering a light creamy base was a exiting experience for the texture of the mouth, my friend said it reminded her of a delicious burnt marshmallows, it was the perfect portion treat after wolfing down so much food. The best part is when we got our to go containers all three of them were filled to the top like a brand new meal, we ate some while watching a movie later that night and we still have plenty for dinner today!! Calvin also sent us on our way with a coconut jelly cup strawberry mochi, I can't state enough how friendly and welcoming he was, he even offered to take pictures for us, he might have been the most inviting host I've ever had. We will most definitely be back, there is so much on the menu and we barely scratched...
Read moreI was hopeful about this place, and tried it this past Saturday based on the positive reviews.
The Delivery: Was quoted as 30 minutes when I ordered but took about an hour. (Note: I’m in Ross and they are 7 minutes away from me.) If I had known it would be fulfilled by DoorDash, I never would have ordered from here.
The Food: Both the sweet and sour chicken and the lemon chicken came with the sauce already on them. As a result, they were drowning and soggy and both sauces were nauseatingly sweet. The lemon chicken was the same chunks as the sweet and sour, rather than the cutlets I’m used to. I’ve never seen these dishes served this way. The beef lo mein was slimy had an awful fishy smell. Thrown away after one bite. The chicken fried rice was so dry it was hard to swallow and tasted stale. The only edible things I got were the fried dumplings.
The Verdict: Spent $86 including tip on food that I mostly threw away. Blamed myself for being lazy and not driving to pick up from Golden Dragon in Sharpsburg. Sadly they don’t deliver here.
It’s possible that they are good if you are looking for authentic Cantonese specialties, although I’m completely guessing and offering a benefit of the doubt here. But if that’s the case, just remove the items that I ordered from the menu, because they are...
Read moreWe wanted Chinese food for dinner and choices near our home are limited. We had been to JJ’s before and decided to try them again after many months. It is under new management now, we were excited to see that the hostess/waitress spoke great English and was attentive. This place has improved greatly. The menu is revamped and experience from the staff is awesome.
We ate in and they gave us a glass bottle filled with filtered water and crispy snacks with duck sauce placed on our table straightaway.
My wife has a gluten allergy and also cannot eat vegetable oil. The staff made her a dish with our own olive oil and custom made fried rice.
The hot and sour soup was great and my shrimp fried tice was spot on made spicy like I had requested. The dishes came out piping hot that you can see steam coming off them. We will be back for sure to try other items. So glad we have a great Chinese restaurant in our...
