Quaint little restaurant whether you want to eat inside with the A/C or “HANGOUT”outside to catch some rays this is your place. Food was comparable to BAR FOOD which isn’t a bad thing. We stop here as a halfway point from Clarksville to meet up with family coming from Staton TN for a few drinks and food, not realizing they had NO alcohol (which was OK) For three meals , two appetizers and three cokes, it ran us $72.00 Nachos were just OK, would’ve been better if they used thicker chips. The chips they used were thin, breaking and becoming soggy quickly. Shrimp baskets and tots were good along with the HANGOUT burger! Taco salad NOT GOOD, the thin chips were on the bottom ……soaked and soggy from all the toppings, Cheddars cheese curds were just OK also.

This place is almost too loud to be able to enjoy conversation. You have to order at the register when you walk in. It would help reviewing the menu before you go. Prices are reasonable. Food came out fast. I'd caution you before going that the food is way too salty, so if you're on a sodium restricted diet, you may need to avoid this restaurant. I had the pork chop- which is actually a loin chop. I'd prefer a bone-in pork chop. It was slightly dry but aside from the salt it had a good flavor. I recommend spicy, ranch dressing for your salad. It has some heat to it.

Hometown Hangout hosted a meeting of the West Tennessee Gas Association and shared their story with us. Owner Drew Beeler is a dynamo who proves that the "new generations" invests in community. Not only does Hometown Hangout provide great food and fun for locals, it employs over 50 area high school students part-time and is a pillar of the community. It has indoor seating for about 100 and outdoor seating for over 100 more. Stop in one weekend and get an ice cream, or a full supper. You will be glad you did.

I never leave these thing since nothing is ever really bad enough to actually say something. I will leave good reviews if it was something great. I just leave not good to good range as something not note worthy. I just ate the worst burger I have ever had. The meat tasted like something the reject pile had rejected. Do not eat their burgers. Bread was fine and toppings were fine but that meat was literally to die for. If I turn up in the obituary column, you know why. It was nasty meat from here. I don’t even thing it was a seasoning thing. I think they just bought some really cheap meat or it’s bad one. I’m going to get off here now to go up chunk this and taste horrible in reverse doubling the badness. Heath warning aleart… don’t eat...
