My friend and I were looking for a brunch spot and came across this place by google search. What attracted us was the rating and this place didn’t disappoint. We went at about noon on a Wednesday and from the parking lot it looked really busy, so we tried to call to see if we needed a reservation but the phone line was busy. So we decided to chance it, we were surprised by the ambience, when we came in, we noticed the space is open and bright, the ergonomics make it inviting and not crowded like most places. The hostess and checkout counter is the first station in the center, you see when you come in with a cleverly placed dessert displace, featuring, what seem to be homemade cakes and cheesecakes. They seem to have plenty of space, a small bar to your right with about 8 or so high top stools and main seating with booths and table to your left. We opted to be seated at a booth, which to my surprise was firm and not one of those you sink into but can comfortably seat level with the table. Our waitress was very pleasant and personable, giving us able time to make our decision. The menu had brunch and lunch, plenty of options in my opinion if you were hungry or feeling a bit peckish, light or heavy dish options. We were quite hungry so we decided on the pancake flight for an appetizer, which consisted of a very berry, cheesecake, and cinnamon roll pancake. All were incredibly good but the cheesecake won me over, not too sweet with cheesecake bites topping it and incorporated in the pancake. Beware, although it’s one pancake of each flavor, they are quite big, we ended up bringing them home. My friend got the breakfast tacos with chicken carnitas, texture like shredded chicken, had good flavor, needs the green sauce and salsa that comes with it. Her dish came with hash browns, shredded potatoes cooked to a crisp. Make sure to get some napkins, these tacos don’t really stand on their own so they can be quite messy but good and light in my opinion. I got the Ironman, which was like a egg white scramble that had spinach, opinions, tomatoes and mushrooms, also opted to add salmon lox. It came with 2 side options to which I got berries, a side medley of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. My second side was breakfast potatoes, these were delicious, they were potato cubes, had just enough seasoning and salt, they were soft yet had enough bite so they weren’t mushy. I throughly enjoyed them. All in all it was a win for the EggCited Brunch house, for their food...

Chef here! Reviews are generally based on preference and palate. Needless to say they can be very subjective. I review an establishment based on atmosphere, speed of service, accuracy, engagement from staff, and then quality of food.

That said Egg-Cited Brunch House off 380 in Mckinney has my vote. We’ve been twice now and both times I was extremely impressed with the aforementioned KPIs.

Starting w/ atmosphere, well designed layout with a modern but homey feel. Every table had a family seated. From children to the elderly. Everybody seeming to truly be enjoying themselves.

Secondly, speed of service. It was incredibly fast even though the house was packed. I mean drinks, starters, and mains all served with lightning speed but timed perfectly.

The accuracy was impeccable. Both times I’ve asked our server, Patricia, for recommendations based on what I had a taste for and she nailed it both times. Patricia didn’t miss a beat. Super attentive, funny, and genuine. The manager on duty came by and checked on my family and I….TWICE! I failed to ask his name. Engagement….nailed it!

We had the beignets which were good, not traditional, but still very good. I had the manmosa which was pretty darn good. I had to order two. My wife had a Bloody Maria (bloody mary but with tequila). She’s a Bloody Mary snob and raved over her drink!

The mains…over medium eggs cooked to perfection. Firm whites with a runny yolk. Most places miss this mark 100% of the time and the yolk is overcooked. Especially when the kitchen is bombarded with tickets. The breakfast potatoes all evenly cooked, fluffy, and well seasoned. Another overlooked aspect in many breakfast spots throughout Collin County.

The biscuits and gravy!!! Star of the show! I’ve only found ONE place prior to patroning EggCited that truly embodies excellent B&G and that is Old West Cafe in Grapevine. Well, EggCited rivals OW and that’s saying A LOT!!

My daughter had the mixed berry french toast and she demolished it. My wife had the gyro omelet which was massive but well balanced in protien and veggies.

If I ever choose to open a brick and mortar I can only hope to deliver the way EggCited...

Our experience at this new restaurant was truly impressive. We arrived to a 20 to 30-minute wait, which was expected given that it’s a new, popular spot. Despite the crowd, there were plenty of people waiting outside, which speaks to its appeal.

Initially, we were seated at a large table meant for 6 to 8 people, but after noticing a freshly cleaned table for two nearby, I mentioned to our waiter that we’d prefer to move. He kindly accommodated us, ensuring the larger table could be used by others waiting. This thoughtful gesture was greatly appreciated.

Unexpectedly, the owners, Tim and Art, treated us to an order of croissant beignets, which our waiter explained was a complimentary gesture for our flexibility. It's rare to experience such personal and attentive service these days, and this stood out as a highlight of our visit. Speaking of service, our waiter Jacob was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and professional throughout.

Hats off to the cooks in the back as well. I had a great view of the kitchen and was impressed by their ability to get food out quickly, which significantly enhanced the experience.

The food was outstanding—flavorful, delicious, and generously portioned. The table cleaning staff worked efficiently, swiftly resetting tables in under a minute, almost like a NASCAR pit crew. Their quickness was impressive, and it was clear that the team has a strong customer service culture.

This was our first visit, and we will definitely be returning. We’ll be requesting Jacob’s table next time, as our experience with him was excellent. Overall, this was a five-star experience, and I highly recommend...
