Mimmo's Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in McLeansboro

Found this place on our way home from Kentucky. Our waitress was nice and did her job well. My husband got the shrimp alfredo and I got the ribeye with a baked potato. We waited about 30-40 minutes for our food and our appetizers came out 5 minutes before our food. Half of his pasta was undercooked, and all the shrimp still had the shell on the tails. My baked potato was so cold that the cube of butter never melted, the steak was cooked well and tasted okay but was also cold. Overall the taste was okay but it was not cooked...

Mimmo’s is a hidden treasure. It is located on the east side of the square in McLeansboro. Our group was pleasantly surprised with the variety on the menu. We ordered lasagna, chicken and broccoli Alfredo, a calzone, chicken picatta, and steak with baked potato. The salad and bread were excellent as were all the dishes. Food was very good. garlic bread knots were a nice touch and the salad had an amazing amount of dressing on it and very flavorful. We came in on a Saturday night at 430 but it felt like the waitress was trying to push us out and hurt us up. There was only 1 other table there but maybe it was in anticipation of the homecoming dates that could be walking in. We will be back...
