McLoud Cafe — Restaurant in McLoud

my mom and I went here to eat, and the the food was very gross and the food had no flavor nor had any kind of seasoning the green beans tasted like they just poured it out of the can and warmed it up the mashed potatoes taste it like they came out of a box with no flavor. My mother and I both ordered a steak medium well when we got it it was well done it was stiff and tough and it had absolutely no flavor even the steak sauce didn't do any justice for it. The waitress was more concerned with her friends over in the other corner then to come and give us drinks we waited a good minute for a drinks. Then when we had our food she yelled across the restaurant is everything okay. I replied no The food doesn't have any seasoning or any flavor at all. Her reply to me was do you want me to make you something else. knowing considering that this food has absolutely zero flavor I'm pretty sure all the other food will fall in line. And the food presentation was very poor as well! We still paid for the unseasoned/non flavored because I felt bad for yall. I honestly don't see how this establishment is still open with such poor quality in food. Y'all definitely need to get a new chef cook that knows how to cook and can bring flavor and life into your food that will speaks to all the consumers...

Came here with my daughter. Was looking forward to some good home cooking. I order the smothered chicken with okra and potato salad. She ordered a steak with a salad. My chicken was very dry and hard to eat and the okra was burnt with a hair in it. Her steak was ordered rare and even after sending it back it still wasn't rare. Waitress acted as if she had better things to do. Had to keep trying to get her attention even though they weren't very busy. This was our first visit and I have to say after we both stopped using the bathroom it still left a bad taste in our mouths. Very disappointed. We were hoping this would be our go to restaurant but after this experience I don't think we will be back. Maybe stop using the microwave because literally all we could hear from the kitchen was the microwave slamming. We love Mom and Pop places but this definitely left something...

I should have known better. I passed the cafe coming into town and it was packed full of people eating. I figured this diner would be to, but no 4 cars in the parking lot. The place was empty. I ordered hash browns with onions in grilled in them. They brought out hash browns with onion slightly grilled on top. I told the lady that there is a difference in the potato taste when they are cooked with the potato from cooking them separate and putting them on top. She took them back less than 2 minutes she handed me the same plate with the onions that was on top mix in the potatoes. I told her mixing them after they cook does not change back it right or taste the way I ordered them. They did nothing to fix this issue. To some people this may not be a big deal. But this I would say is why the place was empty and 2 blocks away was full...
