Freeze Kompany Ice Cream — Restaurant in Mechanic Falls

Such a great hidden gem! Someone recommended this family-owned and run ice cream shop here in town late last summer, and I have been hooked ever since (I'm bummed that it took me so long to discover Freeze Kompany)! Prices are extremely reasonable and include tax, especially for delicious hard serve ice cream, sundaes, shakes, floats, pints and quarts of homemade ice cream with very generous portions. They truly do have a flavor for pretty much anyone's taste, as their flavor options are quite numerous and diverse. Every flavor I have tried tastes exactly as you imagine it should. My favorite are pumpkin and peanut butter cup! There is plenty of outdoor seating in the shade or sun to enjoy your ice cream, or you can take it to go. Amazing, fast, great, friendly service from everyone who is there and you can tell that they enjoy what they do! They have a way of making you feel like family. I can't recommend this place enough and tell everyone I know that loves ice cream about Freeze Kompany. Best value around! And the homemade hard-serve is top quality. Red Raspberry Chocolate Chip is our family favorite-- so flavorful, and the chips are like mini Hershey kisses, not waxy like the flat squares.

Plus, super friendly service! Everyone there was very happy and made sure everything came out correctly for us.
