This place left me wondering why I hadn't tried it much, much sooner. My boyfriend and I decided to try somewhere we hadn't gone before, and get some brunch. We had to will ourselves to stop eating the food despite being full! The corned beef hash in particular is to die for. We sat down, made an order to the friendly waitress who was very personable, and barely 5 minutes go by before we received all of our food, homemade and hot. Buttermilk pancakes, corned beef hash, a ham and cheddar omelette, home fries, toast - the whole works!! You can tell a lot of love goes into each dish, and wait staff were very patient and accommodating for those with disabilities, as I had to use a talking device to communicate. One long term employee was terminated for breaking a hip after claiming they were never notified, however they were and just seemed to forget that part. Another waitress was fired on maternity leave. My personal experience included them trying to scam me out or money for an order that was paid in full, and then tried to blame a waitress for “miscounting” when I watched her count it myself and watched her hand it directly to management. We arrived nearing the end of breakfast and found many delicious choices (mine: french toast). I wanted to stay for the lunch changeover after the cheeseburger special was posted on the board. Next time. We talked with the owner and enjoyed our visit. Wonderful!
