Fish Net — Restaurant in Memphis

Today (April 26, 2015) I visited the Fish Net. I have eaten there before but only fish. Today I chose soul food. I purchased two plates both with greens, and turkey neck. One plate had sweet potatoes (yams), the other had black eyed peas. The food was terrible. The meat tasted as if they just dipped it in the water and it had no taste, no sa and it was old, no salt, no pepper,no onions nothings. The sweet potatoes was fair, but you could tell it was not a good potatoe. I had asked if it were from the can and it wasn't, but the greens were, which is what I found out when I TRIED to eat it. It was too salty and was very strong. The person who checked me out said that they were turnip greens and confirmed that they were from the can when I called. The bread was tolerable. My coworker suggested the place and I added an order to hers. I asked for catfish steak and they sent "catfish" filets. As soon as I broke it I knew it was Swai. I do not eat swai which is the reason I ordered the steak. When I called the first person that answered was very concerned and informed me that they were out of catfish steaks. I was transferred to the manager and when I was asked did they called the swai catfish, she said yes. I told her I asked for catfish steaks and she said they were out. No apology or an effort to fix it. She was like oh well. If I had been informed I would have canceled my order and not wasted my money or their food. Also upon further inspection my co worker food was incorrect as well. She asked for 3 piece whiting and received two piece whiting and one piece of tilapia. I'm sure they may be good yet I did not experience the good service...

First time here. So we got there and ordered our food and was told it would be 20 mins. We waited about 35 mins and received our food.... all the fries were cold but... the fish... omg the fish was INCREDIBLE! Nice and hot not loaded with grease. I got the catfish filet dinner for my 8y/o daughter and she was quite for about 35 mins so I know she loved it. I had the whiteing filet sandwich and it reminded me of my home caught fish (I'm from Florida) delishous. And my wife (who is extremely hard to please when it comes to food) had the Buffalo catfish sandwich and actually did a little dance when she ate it so...... yes... Hot French Fries next time and they get 5...
